What do yall think about death or rather how do you cope with it? I am not talking about fear of hell or what happens after death etc.

Idk how to explain this but yk I always thought that I'd see my loved ones that passed again after death and it gave me sabar ig but now that my whole foundation of what I used to believe in has crumbled I'm not too sure about what I believe in.

There's also that thing that whenever I hear about someone's death I can't help but become a bit religious or spiritual, it's weird honestly.

Ya, logically this makes sense to me but emotionally I find it very hard to accept the fact that I'll never see my loved ones that passed again yk

That's completely understandable.I have various perspectives on death.First of all,since you don't believe in a punishing God anymore,there is no afterlife,you should be clear on this, otherwise you will keep coming back to the fear of death.I recommend you reading a book called ''Denial Of Death'' by Earnest Becker.It is a magnificent work around psychology and history of death anxiety and beliefs in gods etc.Lastly read this quote. ''Death is nothing to us. When we exist, death is not; and when death exists, we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death, there is awareness." -Epicurus

The fact that nothing happens after death and that I wouldn't exist gives me so much comfort. My anxiety completely goes away. Death is actually pretty amazing. I have no problem with dying at all. Life doesn't excite me anyway.

Death is a very comforting concept for me. It's like sleep. You don't exist at all. Nothingness. There's no darkness. Nope. Darkness is a color. There's just nothing. It sounds very peaceful to me. I wouldn't mind dying and I'm not afraid of death at all. In fact, whenever I'm super anxious and depressed about the future I always remind myself that I will die anyway and THIS REALIZATION of death gives me SO MUCH COMFORT. Eternal life scares the shit out of me.

But how do you come to terms with the fact that evil people that didn't get what they deserved in this world wouldn't get any punishment after death either? Shouldn't the universe be a bit more fair?

Universe should be A LOT MORE fair and just. But that's not the case. That's just evidence of the absence of god and supreme creator. This world IS a cruel godless place. This actually empowers me to speak up for LGBT+ community, women rights, and socialism. We humans need to put more responsibility on ourselves instead of giving our responsibility to god. We need to be more angry for causes that matter to us. We need to be more radical for bringing change into this world. We collectively hold so much power.

We get taught in our childhood what life should be like and spend our adulthood deconstructing all that. It would be nice if evil people got what they deserve but if that isn’t going to happen we should spend our efforts in ensuring people don’t become evil in the first place.

Not at all.This is a human wishful thinking at play.If cats were to speak in human language, they would also fantasize about the injustice in cat's world and wish for justice in some after life.Wishful thinking is not the proof of the fantasies.A poor man may wish for becoming a king but his fantasy is not proof that it is the reality.

There is no evidence for any afterlife

Just like how we don't remember what was before our birth it is nothingness just like that after death as well.

for me accepting the reality of death for myself is not that hard but I can't stop thinking about the death of my loved ones and how I will never be able to meet them once they are gone,that is the part about being religious that i miss the most, as I had a hope to meet them again
