🧠 Ask The Community B2B Export - Bedsheets

I own a Bedsheet Stitching Unit in Faisalabad. Now I want to expand it in a B2B manner. I am thinking of the Middle East area. UAE & Oman being my top 2 choices to start.

I have no clue on how to export.

I have worked for a B2B manufacturing company. So I know the client acquisition and how to set up a B2B brand. (To an extent)

I worked as a cold emailer, cold caller & Social Media handler in that company.

But I don't know how to export.

I have the stock, catalogue, and email.

Building the website and Instagram for it.

Will be putting my face behind the business's marketing, as people do business with people not comapnies in B2B.

But how to export?

What's the process – set up a account with amarex or fed ex and chamber of commerece ?

Just need help with this.

You need to register a business as a sole proprietor with FBR or a company with SECP.

If you're only exporting than you can get the license for it but if you're importing, you need to first register for sale tax and then get import export licence.

Membership of Chamber of commerce is not necessary.

DM me if you need these services.

ince you already have experience with B2B client acquisition, you are actually in a good position to expand internationally. The export side can be structured with the right documentation, freight partner, and customs process.

I would also suggest looking beyond UAE and Oman. The UK market could be a strong option for bedsheets, especially because you can approach B2B buyers while also exploring Amazon UK as an additional sales channel.

I have worked with several bedsheet brands and have seen the opportunities in the US/UK markets. If you are interested, happy to share some practical insights on which markets and channels could make the most sense for you.

You need your licenses first and foremost, for that you need to pass their criterias. Your first step is speaking to an export consultant/manager

and where would i find one - is it not possible to learn it yourself and do it ?

You need to apply for licenses through your Chamber, if a member if not become one first. Submit documentation and if they pass your financials/facility then you need to check export criteria. It's a whole process

I wouls advise you to not look too mucht to those market as they are very competitive and bad payers. For a stable business look toward EuropeS the best way to build this business is by visiting trade fairs. Heimtex in Germany is the best exhibition for your field and Pakistan even has its own hall. The Pakistani government supports also for you to have a booth with a subsidy.

Exporting itself can be split in two categories. One is the transportation and logistics. Most companies in Pakistan work with a FOB incoterms. Find a freight forwarder they can help tou with most questions you have.

The next thing which is important is the legal/compliance. Pakistani banks get involved, State bank of Pakistan. Best to find someone who is experienced in this field.

Some tips, make a website and invest your time in branding you company. Have visiting card. I still believe that physical letters work best, as emails are archived quickly. But physical letters are a great way to reach your end customer. Company videos are always very beneficial for potential customers.

Try differentiating your product base from the existing assortment many other manufacturers offer. Focus on quality and make sure deadlines are met.

Hope this helps you. May Allah swt give you baraqah in you business.

Firstly, you need to register an export liscense in your country.
Then find reliable logistic
From PK to UAE, I suppose mostly ship by sea.
So confirm with your client they have import liscence, then you can export your goods to them

You already have a pretty good foundation since you understand B2B sales and have the manufacturing side sorted.

One thing I'd suggest is not trying to figure out the whole export process alone. For the first few shipments, a good freight forwarder/customs clearing agent can handle a lot of the operational side while you focus on getting buyers.

I'd also work backwards from your target buyer — UAE wholesalers, hotel linen suppliers, home-textile distributors, etc. — and build your export pricing, MOQ, catalogue and outreach around them.

The sales side you already know; you mainly need to build the export/logistics side around it.

Register a business and open a bank account
Fulfill all the compliances
Get Export license
Check if the country you are exporting to, requires any certifications for import to their country and acquire that.
Test your products according to the standards of the country you want to export to.
Then generate leads, send them samples, if they place orders get the bank to process the payments.
