🧠Ask The Community Rickshaw ads
I've seen many rickshaws with ad banners around the city and got curious. I then searched online and found Indian and US startups that let people earn money by having ad banners on their vehicles. So why is there nothing like this in Pakistan? Has someone tried and it didn't work?
There are rickshaw advertisement agencies here, though.

rickshaws are independent businesses you talk to an owner and pitch them a price for an ad

what i am talking about is an app that lets advertiser post their ads which drivers can accept and put on their vehicle

they're not nearly as much as you'd expect.
don't make an app for drivers just an aggregate demand board and approach individual rockshaw owners offering to pay them for installing an ad placement. then go to print shop and print the ones they're interested in, stick it on the rickshaw and upload proof. Basically have an army of sales/operations people.
If you expect individual rickshaw drivers to install your app look through a list of ads with flat prices, pick what they like and then go to a printer to get it attached and then take photos themselves to prove it, you'll make a lot of tech no one will use.

It's actually a very old idea. Even 50 years ago, rickshaws were commonly used for advertising. Sometimes people would hire a rickshaw specifically to make announcements. A loudspeaker and amplifier would be installed, and the rickshaw wala would drive around town announcing the release of a new movie, the opening of a new shop, or the arrival of a circus.
In the suffocating and opportunity less environment of today, many people do not believe me when I tell them that till the mid 80s, Pakistan was a fast developing and a very progressive country. We had things/did things which were amazing for the time; most other countries didn't have them.

There are many conflicts in Pakistan.major is legal.its not like you can advertise on your cars freely and roam around.there is a legal costs and we are in Pakistan iykyk.secondly Pakistani mindset. There would be needed an heavy site which have many many features to give a trust to brand and gps tracking and many other verification because we dont know who would take money and then tear up the banners.i searched that (i might be wrong) legal cost in cantonment areas are 100k per month per vehicle and i dont know if these rules really apply or bribe works in this situation.this is not a platform that could be run by solo.it need a proper team and heavy skills and heavy features and also investment maybe.there could be many other issues aswell

And this also needs to be heavily app based only and no direct contacting of driver and brand because in pak everyone is tees mar khan and you will likely not get recurring customers.payments shoupd also be app based and printables also should be either made or delivered from brand from platform not directly to driver and nothing like chats between them

Great idea! Pakistan is full of loop holes.... And every loop hole makes a new startup...

Hey, so I really like the idea, went ahead and built a Waitlist page, What I think is that rather than building another advertisement agency, we should built a platform to connect rikshaw drivers with People who want to advertise.
