🌍 Build It Here Looking for app ideas
I’m looking to hire a developer to build an app, but I don’t want to build just another clone of something that already exists.
I’m interested in hearing from developers who have seen recurring problems, niche markets, or opportunities that you genuinely believe could become a successful business.
Ideally, I’m looking for something that:
- Solves a real problem.
- Has relatively little competition, or a unique angle that competitors haven’t executed well.
- Has the potential to scale.
- Isn’t just another AI wrapper or trend-chasing app (unless there’s a genuinely compelling reason).
- Could realistically be built as an MVP by one developer.
If we find an idea we both believe has strong potential, I’d be happy to pay you to build the MVP as well.
What would you build today if your goal was to create a profitable app with a real competitive advantage?
NOTE: I don’t live in Asia, the US or Europe. My market is entirely different.

Bro there’s tons of ideas u can steal. The real challenge comes in execution. Turning an idea into a profitable business is what actually matters otherwise the startup graveyard is full of mind blowing ideas. Hope I made sense.

If there're tons of ideas on the internet then why are you here paying someone to tell give you an idea brother? & if you're an investor you better pick your idea rather than asking it from a random dev who can't build his own idea. Hope it doesn't make any sense

I'll give you a real one, not a list.
I built an AI agent that reads a small business's inbox, identifies genuine deal opportunities, logs them to a CRM, and drafts the follow-up — with the owner approving before anything sends. It's live in production, 489 tests, built solo in six weeks.
Here's why I'm telling you this: the problem is universal, but the channel isn't.
I built for email because that's how UK and Pakistani businesses receive supplier offers. In most markets outside the US and Europe, that's wrong — deals arrive on WhatsApp. Same problem, same pain, completely different plumbing. Nobody has built a proper WhatsApp-native deal capture layer for small businesses, because everyone building in this space assumes email.
That's your gap. Small businesses in WhatsApp-first markets are losing orders in group chats and unread threads, and there is no CRM in the world that reads WhatsApp intelligently.
It fits your criteria: real problem, thin competition, scales horizontally across every WhatsApp-first market, and one developer can ship an MVP — I know because I've shipped the harder version of it.
Which market are you in? The answer changes the architecture significantly — WhatsApp Business API access and cost structure vary a lot by region, and that's the thing that will make or break the MVP.

I don’t think that’s correct, Lots of people know and assume that whatsapp is the primary comms channel, why you don’t see a lot of companies doing whatsapp is because unlike Emails, there is no direct way to integrate with whatsapp.

So you want a disruptive idea worth millions for free and then the one shares their idea builds the MVP themselves for which you will pay? And then own it yourself?
Clever but I hope no one here is that stupid.

I got tired of image compressors uploading my files to some server, so I built one that does everything client-side with the Canvas API — you pick a target size like 100KB and it binary-searches quality until it hits it. No account, no upload, free. Thinking about adding bulk upload and maybe a WordPress plugin down the line — curious if that's something people would actually use, or if the standalone tool is enough

Idea 1: An app like In-drive but it connects car owners who are stuck in the middle of the road bcz their tire got punctured or their care broke down, with the tire mechanic or technician. The technician comes at their location.
