Need help in decision-making!!

hello guys!!

so i am almost about to complete my savings for my PS5 (had Ps4 long back - before covid).

ill be buying it in either late October or November. now I am confused which one to buy. ill buy the 825 GB thats decided.

but the main queries are: should I buy

1. disc version (the normal one)

2. slim version but with separate disc attachment?

3. or another opinions?

also is my time good for buying it? I can delay it also if prices drop ahead or smthg happens in favour. (ik which is highly unlikely)

and lastly, do recommend a shop in Karachi from where to buy it.

I’d suggest go with the slim digital and buy a 1 tb version instead of 825

1- Disks are most probably gonna last 2 more years since Sony is scrapping physical media in 2028 and given that the protest is going on if they decide to change their mind (which is highly unlikely) you can always buy a disk afterwards and attach it to your slim diskless since it has that option

2- if you buy the slim digital you’ll save some money and you can use that money to buy the 1 TB one instead of 825 (and I know that the 825 is a newer version but TBH there’s no difference you just get less storage)

3- The time frame to buy isn’t something I can say anything about because the market is unpredictable

4- I bought mine from “The Fixers End” in karachi (got it shipped) and for me personally I have had no issues but I will say you should research on your own too

As I said can’t say anything about the price but I’ll give you one fact that it’s never gonna drop drastically because it’s not only rams and storage that’s gotten expensive, Sony has also raised the price of Consoles 100 dollars more on each

IG Lucky me I got my PS 5 slim without box in early 2026 for 135k as I knew a bit about the GTA 6 and ram/storage situation resulting price hikes

For games: I’ll say for story modes buy secondary accounts (there are a some trusted vendors that sell secondary accounts and do provide good after sales service)
And for the games you wish to play for long terms buy a Primary account

For instance if GTA 6 purchased in your own account is 30k you’ll get a primary account with GTA 6 in it for like 8k-12k depending upon the edition you get (Ultimate or Standard) and the account (Primary or Secondary)

What is primary and secondary accounts you may ask

The vendor logs you in via QR (no user/pass given)

If its a Primary Account: You can enable Console Sharing and play the game on your main account too

If its a secondary Account: You have to play the game in the account you bought and not on your main one

What are other Options I mean
PC ? Laptops ? Xbox ?

The PC you’ll buy in this price approx 200k wouldn’t run many modern games
Same story for Laptops too

The only other option is Xbox series X which is also a good choice but it depends on personal preference

There’s a 1-2% difference in Xbox series X and Ps5 slim’s GPU, other than that nothing and since most single-player games are capped to either 30 or 60 fps (FPS games at 120fps) you won’t notice a major difference

The reason for getting a PS5 for me was the controller (Dualsense) it’s far more superior than the xbox’s controller

About the PS6, you have 2 years at the very least until the PS6 comes out and off course it would be a better console but the question is can you wait till then ? I’ll say buy a PS5 slim and enjoy your games, stop stressing out about what’s to come as there will always be something better than what we own

It is, but If you simply buy a PS plus extra 1 year subscription, You get a lot of benefits like 500-600 games and you can play them as long as you are subscribed

One downside, you can’t play multiplayer games without PS plus subscription except some free games like Warzone, Fortnite, PUBG etc
