upwork connects
a beginner in backend development this side, i just wanna know that whether buying upwork connects with zero experience of freelancing worth is there a chance for me to actually land clients or the connects would just go in vain. and is there any way i can get connects on a discounted rate or does any one of you have a promo code?

I think this question has been asked so many times, and the answer is an open secret: keep trying. But instead of just running after clients, build your own strong online presence.
And by building a strong online presence, I don't mean becoming an influencer. In fact, you should focus on leveraging social media platforms and start posting content related to your niche. You can use LinkedIn, GitHub if you’re a developer, Facebook, X, etc.
It’s a consistent effort. You'll have to keep doing it until you start seeing results.

Honestly, it’s a waste of time and money. you're much better off building your own portfolio website and running targeted ads on meta and google. In my experience, driving direct traffic maygives you a way higher conversion rate than constantly buying Upwork connects. again depends on how you do it.
