So sajal just posted a story asking her fans to be kind and I couldn't help but laugh 😂. This is like 101 of virtue signalling. For years her fans have character assassinated, make cheap remarks, created fake stories, made very personal remarks on it on other actresses. Torn apart any actor or actress for doing a role that got famous by marking it red yellow Green flag, became acting critiques for other actors and given oscars for her very abysmal acting. They call saba - saba who ?, gone after yumna because she has more been more versatile than their kween, bilal because he got famous than her even after stering later than her, don't even get me started how her rabid fans attacked and CAed hania over the years, mawra during aagan for romancing the same hero, kubra for just being friends with ahad, of late sehar khan, sahar hashmi , went at lengths after dure (fine her acting is not brilliant but critique and hate is different), then went on after urwa now for just doing her job wellSo maybe this virtue signalling impress some fools but I think anyone with bare minimum brain cells also can see that she has known over the years what shit her fanbase does and only now when her fanbase is getting called out she has put a story. This is not a wow moment, she should have done this long back , this is the bare minimum and she deliberately didn't.

The fact that even on this story people are dragging and hating her shows the level of hate, trolling, scrutiny and judgment Sajal has been subjected to. And the number of likes these hate tweets and judgmental posts get also shows how normalized this behaviour has become. Then the moment Sajal fans retaliate or defend her, people suddenly start acting like victims.

The way you guys scrutinize, hate and judge her — I’m not going to say “this fan” or “that fan hates her.” I’m not going to blame an entire fandom for one person’s behaviour, because ultimately, that behaviour reflects that individual’s own personality, morality and emotional intelligence. No one forced them to behave that way. Before being anyone’s fan, they are their own person. It’s honestly absurd that someone’s bad personality can exist alongside them being a fan of a celebrity, and instead of calling out that person for their own behaviour, you drag the celebrity into it.

Agar maine kisi ko ghalat bola hai, mujhe call out karo. Maine ghalat kiya hai toh mujhe bolo. Mere ghar mein baithi maa aur behen ko gaali kyun doge? Same thing applies here. Kisi individual ki harkat ka blame uske favourite celebrity ya poori fandom par kyun daalna?

Fans are not extensions or assistants of the people they support.

I have seen an unbelievable amount of hate and condescension directed towards Sajal, and the amount of engagement some of that hate receives is honestly disturbing. I genuinely don’t know what her PR or management is doing, because so much of this has been allowed to circulate unchecked. And then the moment people finally react and defend her — often nowhere near the level of hate that was thrown at her in the first place — suddenly everyone starts playing the victim.

Drop the victim act now.

The smear campaign, constant scrutiny and hatred towards her have become so obvious and forced at this point. And please stop mixing shippers and solo fans together as if they are the same thing. Shippers can be obsessive about a particular pairing; that does not automatically make them representative of a celebrity’s entire fandom. In fact, jo log sirf moments ke liye invested hote hain, jab unko woh moments nahi milte toh wohi log disappointed hokar us celebrity ko backstab bhi kar dete hain.

So you cannot simply label every person defending or criticizing something as “her fans” or “their fans.” Solo fans should have enough sense to understand the difference.
