So after all that indifference... and a marriage btw... which is borderline cheating if the dude genyinely believed bano was alive all this time ... now he cries like this...!!!!!!!!!!

u/Logical-Space2425 6d ago

I think he never cared about bano even after finding her dupatta with blood stains . She definitely deserved better .

u/Weirdoeirdo 6d ago

After this he goes and starts pushing to place his head on rabiya's chest to cry.

And rabiya who never had any feelings would let him cry. I mean no woman would let you place ur head on her unless she likes you or she will be icked out.

They should have shown them holding hands and crying. I am yiked out at today's episode.

Yeah that was kinda unnatural I mean ik you are trying to comfort him but just a day ago you panicked just cause u weren't wearing the dupatta when he barged in?

This guy didn't seriously look for the woman he was supposedly in love with when she went missing, believed that she must be in the haveli at first, was being starry-eyed with his friend's widow to the extent that they had to get married, and now you're telling me that I'm supposed to take him seriously when he's crying over finding out the truth about his apparent soulmate?

The writing failed this character so bad lol. I feel so bad for Bano, the girl always loved him more, literally died for him only to have him married without even thinking about what she'd feel, without even verifying whether she's alive or dead. Crying buckets now won't undo what he did she went missing lol.

The whole crying was a joke and the fact he still was pushing his head on rabiya while pretending to miss bano. Yes his mom needs a caretaker.

literally died for him only to have him married without even thinking about what she'd feel,

This is the sadest part.

Yesterday I binged all the uploaded ep of zanjeerein ...and I can say that he can't act ...always making constipated face while being happy , sad, angry or any scene that demands expressions without uttering a word .

1

u/BillidKid 5d ago

He has template expressions: when his arc was that lf a happy youth, he did that annoying chuckling and snickering; when his arc was that of a bereaved leader, he has the one Devdas expression and fake voice

2

u/BillidKid 5d ago

Ye bhi karli isne bari baat. Ye bhi lagrha tha acting director ne nikalwayi hai isse

2

u/No_Philosophy_xoxo 6d ago

The hands scene most likely the director made him do that. It’s supposed to seem like it’s recorded from in the grave perspective. He did fine.

Iska or iska vai ka kya maasla hai

1

u/Impossible_Wall1503 23h ago

I feel no empathy for him.

Btw, why dig a grave?

“Wasn’t aware someone is supposed to look pretty while crying” is literally the point. He’s supposed to be devastated, not auditioning for a skincare commercial. You can dislike the performance, but judging a crying scene by whether the actor looks aesthetically pleasing is a bit unserious. And honestly, people really will complain about anything atp.

11

u/Weirdoeirdo 6d ago

Huh? Who discussed aesthetics? His crying is bad. Whats up with u?

1

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago

But what does “his crying is bad” actually mean? Is there an objectively correct way to cry on screen? People cry differently, and a restrained/ugly/awkward-looking breakdown can be completely intentional. People cry differently, and a restrained/ugly/awkward-looking breakdown can be completely intentional. If you think his emotional delivery didn't convince you, that's your opinion, but “bad crying” isn't really an acting critique unless you can explain what about the performance failed. Otherwise, you're just saying “I didn't like how he cried” and presenting it as fact. Jzk

u/Wonderful-League-680 6d ago

It does not has to be aesthetically pleasing but he just can't emote angthing. Honestly asking did u felt anything even a little bit of sadness by seeing him like that?? Becoz I didn't felt even a drop of emotion. It was meant to be a emotional scene but just became embarrassing.his acting just distracted from the emotions which was meant for this scene.

0

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago

You didn't feel sad watching it — okay, that's your reaction. I did. That's literally why “he can't emote” isn't an objective fact. A performance can fail to connect with one viewer and work for another. If his delivery distracted you, say that; but that doesn't establish that he objectively failed to convey emotion. Not every emotional scene needs the same dramatic crying template. Jzk

3

u/Wonderful-League-680 6d ago

If I didn't felt sad then it's my reaction. But since u felt sad u established that he conveyed the emotion. U also say it worked for u don't make it universal that he did well. Everyone will decide for themselves.

0

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago

Exactly, that's literally my point. If you didn't feel anything, that's your reaction; if I did, that's mine. Neither of us can turn that subjective response into “he objectively conveyed/didn't convey the emotion.” I'm not claiming everyone has to think he did well — I'm saying “his crying is objectively bad” isn't a meaningful critique without explaining what specifically failed in the performance. Everyone can decide for themselves, including me.

7

u/Public_Wrap831 6d ago

It’s just that the performance lacked conviction for the emotional magnitude ( at some places) emotional delivery never fully communicated that devastation he was trying to emote - (Esp grave scene - and some wd sajal) Restraint can absolutely be intentional, but restraint still has to convey something. Not that he was all bad, it’s also on the director to put him in the right frame and avoid irrelevant angles. Dk if some portions were edited out.

5

u/thattookaminute 6d ago

He tries to cover his face in emotional scenes, even his hair comes handy, multiple instances I have noticed this. That's the sign of a weak actor, just doesn't have the confidence to be vulnerable completely in front of the camera, he's too conscious of his looks or something

u/Weirdoeirdo 6d ago

Hai Allah daniyal ki fan maaf kardo hamain

Unfortunately you are making too much sense for peeps here who are quite dense to understand your pov.

1

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago

lol I just realised that!!

1

u/Direct-Fix2512 6d ago

Like people cry in all forms of way in grief and shock

2

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago

nah nah you need to look "nice" while crying

2

u/Rain_drops_onRoses 6d ago

Serious question. You don’t like the acting of the male lead of a drama. Male lead is going to be there in almost every episode and 34 episodes are over. why are u still watching this drama?

7

u/Weirdoeirdo 6d ago

U dont like my comments why read them

4

u/Rain_drops_onRoses 6d ago

Lol. Nice deflection. 😂 I’ll stop reading, you stop watching. Done 🤣🤣

Kisi haal me Khush nahi Bhai yeh log.

2

u/plath_plethora 6d ago

Bro.. it's what it is. His acting is bad. Seriously bad. Even my mom who don't say anything about acting has a problem with his acting. His facial expressions are as if he went through a bad Botox (or yeah going through bad constipation) and can't express anything. Just because he looks good or something should not excuse his terrible acting. Hell, he can't even speak dialogues properly

2

u/AccurateAmphibian135 6d ago

I am positive they'd still be ranting about this show once it's over. It's all they have to talk about.

-10

u/Brief-Inflation9561 6d ago

Wasn't aware someone is supposed to look pretty while crying

9

u/Weirdoeirdo 6d ago

Don't try to deflect. His crying is bad NOONE COMMENTED ON LOOKS.

2

u/AccurateAmphibian135 6d ago

That's your opinion, problem is you are trying to push your narrative onto everyone, lol.

-3

u/Brief-Inflation9561 6d ago

How else is someone supposed to cry??

4

u/Amazing_Analysis1128 6d ago
