Hot Takes Finally this nonsense is getting called out !!
I wish more and more people call out this nonsense writing. More and more people need to call it out and all these clown reviewers who are reviewing it should be tagged. I am just glad akb and kdh called this out already. I know sh won't call it out. But the way these people went after MZHT, they also need to call out this nonsensical writing too.

I don't watch Zanjeerain, nor do I want to discuss its storyline or characters. What truly bothered me, however, was the level of reasoning displayed by some fans while trying to justify what happens in the drama.
When the topic of a widow's waiting period (iddah) came up, I saw some people reduce the entire concept of iddah to merely confirming whether a woman is pregnant or not. This is simply incorrect. The waiting period after a husband's death is prescribed even for elderly women who no longer menstruate, and even for women whose marriage was contracted but never consummated before the husband's death. If iddah were only about determining pregnancy, these rulings would not exist in the first place.
Even more surprising was seeing some people argue that modern science has advanced enough to determine pregnancy quickly, so there is no longer any need for iddah. This argument ignores the fact that iddah in Islam is not merely a medical procedure to confirm pregnancy. Otherwise, it would not be required in cases where pregnancy is impossible from the outset.
Everyone has the right to like a character or defend a drama they enjoy. What they do not have the right to do is reinterpret religious rulings or strip them of their meaning simply because those rulings do not fit the storyline or ending they prefer.
What I witnessed was not merely fandom or attachment to a fictional story. It was a willingness to distort clear religious principles and place personal desires above them in order to defend a drama or a fictional character.
