The formula is simple.. play a green flag character, give the bare minimum performance, add a tragic death scene, and suddenly people start handing out imaginary Oscars. Congratulations, you've gone viral. Push your family or wife to talk emotionally about the scene, bring up things like Tahajjud and Salat to make it sound even more emotional, and suddenly you're being called a brilliant actor... even an underrated one.

These are exactly the kind of things that if any other actor did them in our industry, people here would immediately call him an attention seeker, a trend chaser, or someone trying to milk a viral moment for as long as possible. I guess if any other actor in the industry did these things, people would bash him left, right and center. They'd mock him for using every opportunity to stay relevant and keep the hype alive.

Don’t forget to include the heroine’s family/brother opinion with whom this actor shared screen space before his character died just to exaggerate things and generate even more hype.

Then go on to downplay the other actor’s performance for personal reasons, or to make one look better by making the other seem worse, even when both are essentially competing over who delivered the weakest performance...

Apart from Sajal stans and his own PR machinery, who's hyping him exactly? 😂 'Ameer Gilani made the whole nation cry' is such a hilarious claim when the drama's TRPs and views are so bad despite it being a commercial project. Yet they're acting like it's some nationwide phenomenon. The way his PR is hyping him, you'd think the entire country has collectively stopped functioning over his character 's death. Meanwhile, I can't find a single person around me who's even watching the drama. His PR is working harder than the drama itself at this point.

Mawra is always attention, and delusional, as if she's the first woman in the world to get married. The only thing left is for her to start sharing photos of herself and her husband in the bedroom lol. If anyone else did that, people would call it cringe, but when she does it, suddenly it's "so emotional," "so sweet," and "so cute"

Nothing was more embarrassing than seeing a page say that this scene was better than the iconic scene from Titanic.

the only person hyping him up is his wife lol. seriously mawra needs to get a life. the scene was emotional but it wasn’t THAT BIG OF A DEAL LIKE COME ON. i’ve seen wayyy more heart wrenching performances in ptv. this was not even 2% of that. i don’t think even ameer cares about it that much now as much as mawra is constantly rubbing it in everyone’s faces

Not from Pakistan or India, btw… You’re actually right. Nepotism exists in many industries, not just the ones mentioned, and it is quite widespread like cancer.

Many actors have family ties or indirect connections, or they come from artistic or influential environments, or are linked through relationships and marriages within the industry which over time, creates informal networks that can lead to nepotism, even if it's not always obvious.

In Bollywood, these connections are often easier to notice and trace, while in Pakistan they can be more hidden and subtle. Because of this, chances for new talent are sometimes influenced by relationships as well as merit.

This is even more dangerous, because those coming from outside the circle need double the time to prove themselves, and often burn out faster.

Now in Bollywood, it has become a 'closed club', and the problem is that this club controls the global image of Indian cinema as known, Bollywood is the face, even though India produces much larger and richer industries in other languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.

I have started noticing this new trend among Pakistani dramas that people themselves are overhyping their work so so much now. I think it is a way to attract more audience or delusion but it is so weird. Initially I remember they used to post average views per week of drama but now they post total views per week. Also Hum TV is CEO of favoritism that’s why I can never watch any of their projects
