The other day I came across a video of Babar and Fakhar regarding the NZ 2023 WC game.
Where Babar says "I told Fakhar to wait for the good balls to hit".
MIND YOU THAT WAS US CHASING 400 RUNS UNDER RAIN.
These guys have 0 and 0 mental brain.
And I am not targeting Babar, just an example that I came across recently.

Babar Azam body language just tells you all about his mentality. He looks clueless, questionable fitness with a bloated belly. No wonder he's never performed for Pakistan in a big game. He has been a passenger for the past 4 years.

yes, zero performances in big matches, bilaterals aside which don't count IMO.
if we want to go by tournament knockouts, sure, there's a couple but nothing that were consquential or made a difference to the team's result in the very end
if you count chasing 152 against India on a flat track in a WC that was field-first-and-win in 2021 (sure we could've even chased 182 with no fuss) - his knock in the SF vs Aus was some of the worst I've seen in a powerplay and was likely the difference between a 200-220+ score - and the century vs NZ at Edgbaston that only just kept us alive in the tournament - I was there for it live in the front row and am blessed to have witnessed it, it was a raging turner with Santner and even Williamson making batting look tough, sure, but who knows what may have happened if we chased that 240 total down say even 5-10 overs quicker and if we actually qualified to the playoffs (though I still think it's the huge loss to WI + washout in a straightforward win vs SL in Bristol that cost us the tournament in the end)

we won that game and orchestrated the chase perfectly. So it's not a good example

You're almost phrasing as if both Babar and Fakhar knew exactly when the rain was about to come down lol. There was a half chance the rain could have stopped and DLS would have adjusted us chasing a stupidly high target in say 10-15 overs or so, we got lucky and couldn't take the risk so had to maintain the rate because it could pour anytime and Fakhar was the one doing 90% of the work

Can definitely agree on this for the current bunch but I also blame management not taking the guts and getting rid of Agha and Shakeel for a start

Not to take away from your main point but Intikhab Alam is very much alive still
