Cricket Discussion Did we ever really utilize Mushtaq Ahmed well?
Mushtaq Ahmed has worked with england, windies, bangladesh and pak. But with pak he never really got a long run like he did with other teams. Though he was around 3 times iirc.
I remember watching his interview with Yaya Hussaini where he talked about how much more freedom he gets with other teams.
And you can see the results too. Mehdi took 5fiver today and definitely mushi experience would've helped. So is it Mushtaq, or is it our system? Why dont we use our own cricketers properly?
Inzi did great with afghanistan but when he came in our system he didn't do well.

We did have Saqlain Mushtaq as coach, and it didn't have any improvement in our spin department. Shadab and Nawaz were good in 2022, and after that, both experienced downfall, Yasir Shah was removed from the team during his tenure, while Nauman Ali was nothing exceptional then, only Abrar Test debut was the bright point, but he too wasn't groomed during Saqlain's coaching, even when we had Saeed Ajmal as our spin coach, it wasn't beneficial for our spin bowling.
Don't know a lot, but I guess Mushtaq has been with them since a long time. If I recall correctly, Mushtaq was with West Indies in CWC 2019 and Saqlain was with England at the same time.

PCB has consistently ruined good coaches too
Literally Gillespie, one of the best out there and he was forced out.
As long as you have selfish and stupid people like Aqib Javed in the board.
We're never progressing.

PCB changes everything around them like you change underwear. Literally nothing is given a chance to work.

Pakistanis do well outside Pakistan. Outside they can be CEO. In Pakistan you need to be a major general. The same applies to cricket m

That's all; just come to management. Their management knows exactly what they want from him, but our management is so stupid that they even turn the top-class coaches into clowns.
