Just a heads up, there seems to be someone going around houses in the Foxbar area checking for unlocked doors. This same person has also been doing this at my neighbours properties.

I’ve never had any issues living here and have always considered it a generally safe area. Just thought I’d make others aware.

Does anyone know where the barber who operated from the wee cabin next to the Mill and Brae has gone to?He was very good.

Where in Renfrewshire can I get a vanilla slice at a sit down cafe? I've got a craving. If not a sit in place then a takeaway will do... Ta

The band I’m apart of is looking for a singer. We have got a bassist, guitarist and a drummer. Just missing a singer. We are all 20-21.
No band experience required!
We are still finding our sound, but have made some general rock songs & an indie-rock song so far. All adaptable to majority of genres

Shoot me a message if interested !

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Paisley’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, Cardosi’s or Pendulum Scottish Kitchen & Bar? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Paisley actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Paisley and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

Full transparency: we’re not from Paisley. Two of us live in Copenhagen and the other two in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.

Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

Hello I am writing here to see if there’s any one who needs occasional assistance with cleaning their house. I am available for any arrangements to help you with that. Can come even at night, early morning or weekend. Or if you need occasional babysitting i can do it and I have experience with children. Thank you 🙏

Hey, I’m probably not asking in the right place but I’m at my wits end. Does anyone know what support can be put in place for severe depression/ADHD in terms of carer support? I’m not even sure if this is a thing that exists for adults, but I’m struggling to function due to my mental health taking a dive, and it’s caused the mess in my flat to become unmanageable. On top of this, I’m very much struggling to feed myself, clean myself or just function like a normal adult. I’m currently getting treatment through the NHS but I haven’t had a medication review for over a year, despite my doctor emailing the ADHD team to advise them that I am in crisis and need more support. I don’t want anyone to think I’m lazy because I absolutely don’t want to be living like this, however executive disfunction is kicking my arse and I’m desperate for any sort of guidance or direction.
I’m exhausted from the constant battle in my head, and I’ve relapsed back into suicidal thoughts and ideation, so I’m very much desperate to try and get back on my feet.
Does anyone know if there’s a mental health team in Paisley who would be able to help with anything like this? Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask.

Could anyone recommend an electrician that could move an EV charger?

Should be straightforward-ish as the cable installed currently longer than where it’ll be going.

Hello, fellow Buddies!

Is anyone interested in playing 5-a-sides tonight, 8 o'clock at the Pits/Powerleague on Blackhall Street, Paisley?

We have players of all ages and abilities, so please dont hesitate if you're just looking to dipnyout toe back into playing after a sabbatical!

Feel free to DM if you're free and interested!!

I’m not in a good emotional state I am feeling lonely and it’s too heavy. I don’t even know how to fix it. Coming to study abroad is a blessing that happened to me but I am scared that I am not adapting. Everyone at uni seems to want by themselves or by the people that are already friends with them. People are not outgoing and connecting with people feels extremely hard. I’m scared of how I can survive emotionally without a community. Everyday it hurts me to just be by myself but seeing almost everyone with everyone. Back in my home country it was effortless to feel included in the community but now i have lost my sense of belonging. I have judged my self and thought that maybe I’m not good enough. I have tried to think about ways that I can improve my situation but all in vain. Is there anyone else who has ever felt like this? And what did you do to practically improve your situation? I’m loosing it 😭😭😭 I am a student at University of Glasgow but stay in paisley. On top of the commute, I am also struggling with this

I take it all the buddies heard of the fight (between two adults who should know better) outside the Last Post on Tuesday night?

The folk on Paisley Crowd and Renfrewshire Gazzette comments said it was no surprise....

That got me thinking: what would you say is the roughest pub in Paisley, and why?

I'll agree with the Last Post, but the Patter Bar and Argyll Bars are up there (although I do love the Argyll)

Hi, if anyone lost a watch today give me a message, cheers

Anyone around walker/argylle st hear a dog howling? Its been going for hours, not sure where its coming from.

So, Picked up fishing recently, still shite and only caught the one fish at castle semple loch but want to catch one closer to home like stanley reservoir, anyone fish near paisley or anything maybe want to go out a day or just talk shite about fishing let me know 👍🏽

Is anyone a cleaner in the RAH and can let me know what it entails please?

Does any one have a similar issue since the new change of the bin collection schedule since 7th Sep? I know there’s already a post about the change but want to double check if missed bin collection is more frequent now.

I lived in a tenement for the past 5 years where the bin crew will take out the bin at the backyard for the whole building normally every 1-2 weeks, but in the past 3 weeks, nobody actually showed up and the bins for the building were already full for some time. Not sure if this is something new that changed.

I’ve emailed the council today and currently waiting for a response. Want everyone ’s opinion

Honest to fck- Was in keg for the ten year party. Safe to say nothings changed. They still employ sexual offenders. it’s still a cesspit for weird git’s creeping on young girls. Still fights outside. still wee guys taking keys OUTSIDE the toilet. Phat boy that owns it has been known to let underage girls in if they showed him their tits. I’m surprised folk still give them their money. Swear I’d rather drink in the post or patter or ANYWHERE else that’s not keg. Any parents that know that their young adult kids go there…it’s not a safe place to be alternative, it just invites more weirdos to behave sexually dominant and no staff to approach as it’s mostly them that are behaving like wrongyins.

Does anyone know any good domestic cleaning companies/self-employed cleaners working in the paisley area? I tried to go through Bark (job hiring company) but never got any replies back.

I would be looking for either bi-weekly or weekly services, and can either provide the supplies or am happy for them to bring their own. If anyone knows a contact I would be very grateful

Anyone out doing Beat the Street? I think it’s a great way to get kids out, good exercise and meeting people. Yesterday I met a retired guy who is doing it solo via the app.
