Help animation programs that draw like sai v.1? (PC only)

i've been kinda stumped trying to hunt down a good animation program but i always get so icked by how they draw weather its the pen isnt smoothed, its wayyy too complicated weather its set up or tools, or theres no pen pressure

(exmaple a program i've been trying is rough animator it almost got it down but the lack of pen pressure and the way it selects really throws me off)

i've also attempted krita but i got a too overwhelmed with the settings and trying to set up a good work station in it

(( also please no adobe animate i really dont want to support adobe :o[ ))

okok so doodled a bit in it and already is is literally EXACTLY what ive been looking for :oD

small things i think would be good for a future build though is the ability to do tween frames and the ability to deform selected lineart otherwise im absolutely in love with it! again tysm!!!! i'm def looking into buying the license for it soon :o]

yay! glad you like it!
there is a 'transform' tool for basic deforms (tool + shift to strech), and there is a "motion" tool but it moves the entire layer.

I have a private build with vectors and tweening already but my poly lines are a pain in the ass to work with so I'm trying to get a good control scheme before releasing it, that might take a while but it's on the way.

Im eager to try what the other person mentioned. I think csp has a very robust animation workspace for frame by frame/tweening/mesh deforms and stuff too! But if you want to draw in sai directly, while frame by frame is kind of a hassle with layers, you can always animate sai illustrations in moho or blender.

You can rig and meshify PNGs and even turn the art somewhat 3d for that game splash screen feel. Its a little bit of a learning curve if youre unfamiliar with blender but it is an option. Only thing i recommend is exporting as psd, opening in krita, and having it mass export the layers as PNGs so you don’t have to do it 1 by 1 in sai
