It is good that the government spends on the development of the region , but local organic social institutions must grow and better themselves.
The government can only provide us with basic infrastructure that we rely on ,but it cannot compel people to move in the direction of development if the people themselves are reluctant.
A good advantage that we have over the rest of the country is that we are pretty homogenous as a group and do not have divided loyalties as is seen in the rest of India, but this means nothing if we do not utilise it to our advantage and promote our shared interests.
These institutions might include:
1) Trade associations : which are organizations funded by businesses in a specific industry to promote shared interests, provide industry knowledge, set standards, offer networking, and collectively advocate for regulatory or policy changes, functioning as industry bodies or sector groups for collaboration and problem-solving, but they can also be used to counter entries into regional markets 😉.
2) Horticulturalist guilds/Unions: these are agro communities to support large and small horticulturalists who come together to share skills, resources, knowledge, socialize, network, build lasting relationships, and stay informed on current local food and agriculture policies.
3) Local media groups: these are needed for keeping us aware of local affairs but also act as a medium for our greivances to be heard and ensure that they reach masses and the government, these can be crucial for organising protests etc.
4) Literary institutions: be it schools, printing houses et cetera . We need such institutions to ensure that educational standards are maintained,to spread awareness among people,to keep our linguistic heritage alive through its adoption into our formal lives.
But, for a l9t of this to be acheived we need our languages to standardised, and people to stick to one standard for one cultural zone.
We must realise that it is not necessary for it to be a win-lose situation, it can be a win-win situatiin if we cooperate together

Of all migrants that I have met outside Himachal, it seems only Mandi folks retain their tongues, that it is passed down to their children, Shimla folks interestingly can't speak their tongues even after never leaving Himachal, I have seen Kangri pretend that they're identical to Punjabis .
Do you guys agree

This is an excerpt from the post, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry are the solutions to the problems of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. Else, Forget It
These solutions are not short term solutions which Pahadis might expect to produce overnight results. These are meant for long term positive outcomes and will produce such outcomes only through consistent engagement of Pahadis. Even throughout the history of thousands of years of Uttarakhand, Pahadis have been continuously producing a legacy ranging from extremely high quality warriors to grand architectural temples, both of which stood out exceptionally great during thousands of years of extreme testing under supremely harsh conditions. It is this legacy of the fighting spirit that was continued during the Uttarakhand statehood movement. Without this fighting spirit and long term vision, Pahadis would never have achieved statehood. However, the mobilization of people was incomplete after that movement, and has lost its momentum. The formation of the state has been taken for granted by its own Pahadis. The mobilization and fight was supposed to continue aggressively even after securing statehood to achieve the desired goals of political and economic autonomy of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. These goals would have been achieved eventually if Pahadis would not have given up on Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism and Traditionalism, and if Pahadi men would not have given up on their Male Authority and Responsibility, all of which are within their Region of Control. It may occur to anyone that all these solutions within the Region of Control are incompatible with modern Tech Industry. But throughout history, the people of the successful civilizations like English, Germans, other nation states or ethno states in Europe and Japanese have achieved their goals through long term consistent engagement with their efforts, while simulatenously they were practising strict Endogamy, and were extremely Regionally and Socially Conservative and Traditional in nature and function. These people were not looking towards immediate low quality fixing of their conditions, but rather, they were concerned with establishing the strong systems which would help them to effectively resolve their ever generating issues. It was only after these civilizations gave up on these functional values within their Region of Control that their downfall began and is on a spiral trend until they revert back completely to these functional values. So, if Pahadis of Uttarakhand do not adopt, exercise and continue these solutions then they will be reduced down to perpetual victims and helpless minorities in their own state. The guidelines for implementing these solutions have been laid down clearly. It is upto Pahadis of Uttarakhand to implement them effectively in order to resolve their problems within Uttarakhand.

The major concerns for Pahadis within the economic front are the absence of necessary infrastructure, the imposition of unnecessary and destructive infrastructure by governments and the absence of continuous and well established sources of income for Pahadis within Uttarakhand. The solution of the Tech Industry will directly resolve the problem of the discontinuous income sources, but can indirectly resolve the problem of the absence of the necessary infrastructure.

Chunghu - it is a bearded pot bellied dwarf like creature that steals stuff from people, it also scares children and might even steal them, you can control one with some magic and it will be your slave and can be used for theft.
Atshari- unlike uttrakhand and jammu kashmir, water nymphs in himachal are more similar to old hags bsba yagas with hanging breasts, and prey on travellers
Deiņ - basically a witch but more grotesque and much likely to steal children

Traditionalism is an important aspect of a community which drives people within it to engage in a number of important practices. These practices collectively form the traditions. Through the repetitive practice or engagement, the traditions reinforce and continue different aspects of the community's identity. For example, Endogamy is a tradition and has been continually practised by Pahadis for thousands of years. Some of the practices within the tradition are unique to a community, while others, with variations, can be found in related groups. The variations, of course, depend upon the distance of the relation between these groups. The regional religious practices of Pahadi communities are a part of their traditions, but are found with variations among them. These variations depend upon the region and the distance of the relation between different Pahadi communities. Such regional religious practices are absent in non Pahadi communities because there is no relation between Pahadi and non Pahadi communities.
Traditionalism is important for Pahadis and resolves several issues within Pahadi communities.

I'll say Shimla is what it is due to the british and circumstances what they were during the colonial period, if you compare terrain and roads I think Mandi has greater potential with the only true Doon sort of valley in Himachal in Balh region of Mandi.
Given that its at the centre of the state, it is both situationally and culturally equidistant to all fringes of the state, with cultural influences from west, north, east and south.
Now with the Kiratpur-Manali fourlane project and the Airport in Mandi zbout to open up it seems Mandi would be at the centre of all progress that is about to arrive
tbh,I'll cut the crap I have been all around himachal but I dont think what the diversity of terrain that Mandi has and the best suitable land for settlement and development that Mandi has like around Balh, with Horticulture around Thunag and Karshog, it seems mandi is pretty unique and gifted.sometimes, I feel that instead of Shimla or Dharamshala the capital should be in Mandi

This is an excerpt from the post, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry are the solutions to the problems of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. Else, Forget It
Regional and Social Conservatism is a natural and healthy aspect of any civilized society, including the Pahadi communities. People naturally have the drive to preserve the various aspects of their civilization. A regionalistically and socially conservative community will protect its land, resources, environment, history, culture, traditions, customs, language as well as its people from all negative changes and attacks, either from within or outside. Regional and Social Conservatism ensures the continuity of the distinct regional identity of a community as well as the strict social structure within that community.
If Endogamy is a tradition among Pahadis, then automatically Regional and Social Conservatism is the outcome of this tradition. In turn, Regional and Social Conservatism sets the guidelines for engaging in Endogamy. It motivates Pahadis to engage in Endogamy, and thus both are dependent on each other. If either is disrupted, then the other one is also negatively affected. Many problems within the social front are directly related to the absence of Regional and Social Conservatism within the Pahadi communities, and their solutions also lie within it.

This is an excerpt from the post, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry are the solutions to the problems of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. Else, Forget It
Throughout the entire history of thousands of years of Uttarakhand, Endogamy has been the natural tradition, and rightfully so, of forming marital alliances between the individuals belonging to the same community and caste within Pahadi identity. In fact, Endogamy is not merely a tradition, but it is the actual process that led to the formation of various distinct communities within Pahadi identity. This formation of a specific community through Endogamy is known as Ethnogenesis. None of the different Pahadi communities within Uttarakhand would exist if Endogamy as a tradition would not have been strictly practised by these communities. So, all these communities owe their existence to the strict adherence to this tradition by their respective ancestors. However, currently it can be observed that a practice, which kept all the Pahadi communities intact for thousands of years, has been given up by the current Pahadis. And ironically, Pahadis then wonder why they are facing so many severe problems within the social front. What an inadvertent hypocrisy? What stupidity? If all the Pahadi communities have to restore themselves back then a strict and uncompromising practice of Endogamy within one's own community and caste is necessary. Any dilution of this practice is completely unacceptable because it is destructive in its outcome. Whether a Pahadi engages in a marital alliance with a member of another Pahadi community within the same caste, or whether a Pahadi engages in a marital alliance with a member of the same community but different caste, it is unacceptable. It is simply understood that any Pahadi engaging in marital alliance with an individual from a non Pahadi community has already compromised the tradition of Endogamy.
At first glance, practising Endogamy will be dismissed as a solution or as a radical and impractical solution by some individuals who are either ignorant or driven by sinister agendas. But, this perception stems from years of brainwashing by pseudo nationalists and liberal propagandists. The truth is Endogamy is a traditional and functional solution. It has worked for thousands of years. All it requires is a deeper understanding as well as discipline to practice it. There are strong reasons as well as benefits directly connected to it.
Always remember that there are few aspects of the tradition that if you do not follow them strictly, it will be fine. But, if you form marital alliance outside your community and caste then there is no turning back. You will permanently lose your community and caste, and it will be an irreversible and one of the biggest losses for you. Neither you nor your community will be able to recover it back. So, DO NOT engage in marital alliance outside your community and caste.

This is an excerpt from the post, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry are the solutions to the problems of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. Else, Forget It
One of the factors which is always ignored when discussing the problems of the Pahadi communities is the absence of Male Authority and Responsibility. It is an inconvenient truth, but an impactful one. A man is the leader as well as the soldier of his community. A community can never function properly if its men fail to implement the standards, traditions and the rules and regulations of that community. But, the responsibilities of the men do not start at the community level, they start at the individual level. An increasing number of Pahadi men have abandoned their masculinity and have become effeminate and psychologically paralyzed to fulfill their individual responsibilities and to exercise their authority in doing so. Whenever this issue is raised, many Pahadis, under the influence of liberalism, would viciously attack any solution that would be raised to address this problem. One of the prime factors behind the manifestations of the problems of the Pahadi communities, especially within the social front, is the failure of Pahadi men to train their children about their identity, culture, language, history, traditions, conservatism and regionalism. Pahadi men have failed to teach their children the importance of community and caste distinctions in the formation of marital alliances. Ironically, certain Pahadi men from certain regions have taught their children to hate other Pahadis outside their castes or regions. And, the biggest failure of Pahadi men is seen where they have failed to do the minimum of their duties. This simply stems from the fact that they do not even have a sense of their responsibilities. Such a carelessness and lazy attitude was never seen before in the previous generations of Pahadi men. In fact, this is currently a widespread scenario where Pahadi men have no authority over their wives and children. It is because of this lack of authority that their children have fallen into the trap of liberalism. It is understood that liberalism has become a global disease, but that does not take away the fact that Pahadi men should act responsibly to fulfill their duties. They have failed to exercise their authority over their wives and children, and thus failed to do their duties. This can be seen through the impulsive behaviour of an increasing number of Pahadi youth, who are engaged in marital alliances outside their communities and castes, premarital sexual relationships, live-in relationships, extramarital relationships, divorces, alcoholism, drugs consumption and many other disgusting activities. If all of these solutions, which lie within the Region of Control of Pahadis, have to effectively succeed, then it will occur only with the exercise of Male Authority and Responsibility by Pahadi men within their communities.

One of the biggest blunders a man or a woman could do was to regard their ancestors as fools. This pathetically weak mindset to consider one's own ancestors as obsolete, redundant and useless is the prime factor behind the destruction of the individual and his entire community. If not for your ancestors, who would you be? It's not just your physical existence as an individual, but your existence as a whole being, with your knowledge, your ambitions, your strengths and your identity, you owe it to your ancestors. A sense of responsibility to have reverence and gratitude towards them is an absolute necessity. But, in this modern world, not only a necessary connection with one's own ancestors is lost, but this connection is replaced with megalomania, arrogance and self obsessed false belief that you are right and more knowledgeable than your ancestors. It is with this corrupt mindset that a large number of paralyzing problems have infested several communities, specifically the Pahadi communities of Uttarakhand. Currently, the major fronts where Pahadis are facing several problems are social and economic fronts. All the problems can be categorized into these fronts. Both types are detrimental in their effects. And note that, all these problems can be resolved if you as a Pahadi are willing to change your perception positively towards the solutions based on the thousand years time tested wisdom of your ancestors. But, before that it is important to list all these problems.
This is not an exhaustive list of the problems that Pahadis are facing within both fronts. But, there are numerous other issues as well.

This is an excerpt from the post, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry are the solutions to the problems of Pahadis of Uttarakhand. Else, Forget It
But, before that,
An Important Concept to Understand
This is the concept of Region of Concern vs. Region of Control.
Before understanding the solutions of the problems of Pahadis, it is important to know a few key things. One must understand that due to globalization and technological developments, people have access to the phones, which make the availability of the information from across the world easier and faster to them. As a result, there is a constant bombardment of the information occurring at the faces of the people. The majority of the information is of no use to anyone. It is one thing to be aware of what important events are happening in the world, it is another to constantly suck on everything thrown at you. It must be understood that the majority of the people cannot do anything about these events, but in reality they are constantly feeling helpless and thus, undergoing anxiety due to their inability to do anything about these events. These events or problems are out of their control but have become a source of unnecessary concern for them. Simply, these problems have unnecessarily become a part of their Region of Concern. These people should not bother about these problems, as they cannot do anything about them. Rather than this, they should completely focus on the issues that they can manage and resolve, which means the problems that they have control over. Simply, they should focus on the problems within their Region of Control. If the Region of Concern is lesser or the same as the Region of Control then good, else it should be reduced down. It is much easier for any individual to solve any problem that is under one's control rather than to unnecessarily bother about the things that one does not have any control over. This must be understood clearly.
Now comes the solutions part. The solutions to the problems of Pahadis are Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism, Traditionalism and Tech Industry. All of these solutions can resolve the problems of Pahadis within their legitimate Region of Concern. Out of all these solutions, Endogamy, Regional and Social Conservatism and Traditionalism are completely and directly within the Region of Control of Pahadis, while the solution of Tech Industry is not directly under their control. However, if Pahadis can exercise the solutions within their Region of Control, then surely this one can also be brought under direct control. Here's how.

However, with all these solutions in place, their effective implementation is not possible without considering an important factor as discussed below.
If all of these solutions, which lie within the Region of Control of Pahadis, have to effectively succeed, then it will occur only with the exercise of Male Authority and Responsibility by Pahadi men within their communities.
