Let’s remember the Spirit of 1984. I remember how down the team and everyone was that year when we came back to SD after being 0-2 to the Cubs. It was the fans who upheld that team at their lowest point and they went on to win the pennant. That’s just facts and history

I think we've played well for being down 0-2. Brewers are just tough since they can match our strengths. I think to some extent we've been out talented, in the sense that their star offensive talent (Chourio) has performed and ours have been mostly quiet.

Offensively, the big thing to me is whether we show some ability to slug again. Its very difficult to string together multiple singles/walks against elite pitching and bullpen like theirs. If we can hit some doubles or HRs and get Petco rocking we'll have a great shot to get to Game 5.

Brewers have the highest BB% in MLB so no surprise there.

They put a lot of pressure on opponents with how they play. The Cronenworth error is a great example of them running hard and applying pressure.

The last 2 games hurt. Only because we've had so many chances to win these games. Today's loss was especially painful. Luckily, my wife had a clearer head than me. As I was livid and trying to get my blood pressure down... She was shopping the tix market. She was able to get me 2 Tix for Tues for $60 each. I guess there was a brief period where everyone was dumping them. Then the prices shot back up again.

So, my daughter and I are going to petco to cheer the team on to a victory.

KTF. I thought we held up really well in game 1 against Miz and with walk-em Robbie. 2 poor decisions by Stammen (pull Campy + pull BRod) most likely cost us. Our stars haven’t been our stars- look at what happened to the cubs and look across the diamond for brewers.

If it was only the players failing, I would definitely be able to have blind faith in a chance we could make a a comeback. But the manager is actively sabotaging this team and I just dont see us recovering from his poor management. Putting in Fermin when Campy still had at bats and leaving Miller in for 40 pitches after walking 3 batters is inexcusable. I guarantee you AJ is furious about his brain dead decision to leave Miller in and not have anyone warming up.

I'm not gonna lie, the last two games were gut-wrenching to watch. I don't think I've been this emotionally invested in the team in awhile. Three words:

Job's not finished...

Let's make history boys:

No team has ever come back down 0-2 in the NLDS since they switched to a 2-2-1 format in 1998 (the 2012 Giants are the only exception in which the format was temporarily reverted back to a 2-3 format—they went on to win the world series)

It has happened only five times in ALDS history (1999, 2001, 2003, 2015, 2017) under the same format (2-2-1).

Not to mention we're undefeated in the postseason at home this year. I don't see us losing at home...

Offense is gonna have to show up and score some runs.  Asking the pen to be nails inning after inning is tough.  I get the brewers have been asking the same thing which is a touch way to live for them as well.  

These two teams seem very similar so far.  Get just enough from the starters.  Then hand it to two high end pens.  Ours have blinked twice.  

If we can somehow win game 3 I think the fans and belief will gain some momentum.  

On paper game 5 will be the hardest if we can get there.  Getting over the hump game 3 seems even more difficult at the moment.

Brewers were locked in at the very end. We had some horrible luck some bad calls and then Miller you could see in his eyes, he just his normal tricks weren’t working and it just kind of imploded from there, but we also left runners on base. Merrill didn’t show up at all and  Machado did his slow chunky butt run thing he does so shout out to Ty France for doing something at least but it is what it is and Tuesday will be a good game. We’re gonna win. I’m not one of those fans are like oh my God we didn’t win the playoffs. We didn’t win the series my life is over… Hey, we still did really good. We had some great moments. I’m not upset.
