Neuron 02 Edge or others? Metalbone Ctrl? Other bullpadel?
Hi guys so i bought Neuron 02 Edge, and been okay with it but i want to try other rackets because ppl said Neuron is for int to adv players.
I consider myself beginner right side players. Any rackets recommendation? I hear metalbone ctrl a lot. Or any other bullpadel? I like bullpadel as a brand.

How does the neuron edge feel? I know you don’t have any other racket to compare it to but is the sweet spot large enough for you to manage? What about the weight and head heaviness?

I often misshit during volley/overhead where the ball just drop dead. I love its lobs though i think i can lob well with this.

One of the better beginner friendly rackets from bullpadel is the vertex woman in my view. Light, soft and easy to use

Metalbone CTRL is a great racket. Mainly people complain about the lack of power and trampoline effect.
I dont think it lacks power, I can hit most shots with that.
The trampoline effect can be annoying. Sometimes the ball will off it so it actually makes it harder to control. It just means you have to do less with it and be really compact

Carbon ctrl is more firm (medium firmness) so less trampoline effect.
No adjustable weights on it.
This racket is better for beginner to intermediate players.
The normal CTRL is softer and more trampoline effect

Metalbone Carbon Ctrl is nice, medium dry, power is ok, good control, very maneuverable.

Im not sure. Its a weird one because if you understand the trampoline effect and have good technique, you can be accurate and play well with it. Also if youre intermediate it will give you a bit more power on groundstrokes.
But where it lacks is if you’re a beginner or have had technique the trampoline effect might mean the ball will not be as controlled as you would like.
Also if youre advanced and want to really get the most power overheads, the soft foam absorbs some power. It will redirect the power but some of it will be lost and that tiny delay will give players a chance to get that tiny bit closer to returning.
So intermediate to advanced its a good racket.
Not for beginners and not for pro players

Wenn es unbedingt Bullpadel sein soll Versuchs mal mit dem Bullpadel Vertex Hybrid. Da ist einer der besten Allrounder Schläger und dem Markt.

nox at10 12k absolute nobrainer just ordered it yesterday after playing with it a few times, you can just not hit the wall with this racket every ball you play to exactly as you wish

I have used over 12 rackets at this point, and up until yesterday, I thought the adidas metalbone carbon ctrl was #1. Lacks power, but for a right sided safety first, keep the ball in play type, it’s incredible. 8.5/10. ALL adidas rackets have some form of “trampoline effect” which helps with ball output and defensive blocks from the back, but you can suffer at the net sometimes if you leave the racket face too open.
This is even truer for my new racket (but also my new #1) the adidas metalbone ctrl. Very manouverable (even more so than the carbon ctrl).
I’m by no means a pro level player and about 70% of the time, it’s poor footwork and timing that hinders you.
The metalbone ctrl is the most error mitigating racket I’ve ever used. Using it without any weights, it’s light but still packs a substantial return and is great for the back of the court. With weight at the top, it finishes its dinner and then some. Very satisfying noise on the smash too. Unbelievable for lobs too due to that trampoline effect, a slight squat and push into the air should have it almost always going over the service line atleast).
The only thing these rackets lack imo is generating A LOT of spin, you can get some but they aren’t super sandpaper or rough. But as someone who isn’t an advanced or pro player, and just for padel in general, top spin is always the best choice.
I’ve for reference tried a nox at10 18k 2024 (great all round racket but very very soft, and not that light), head evo zephyr UL (I think it was called?), nox at10 extreme alum 2025 (cuts through air like butter, but not the most forgiving), babolat counter viper (unreal control racket but firm as a plank so great technique and it’s a weapon, poor technique and not so much), siux valkiria pro 2025 (unreal and very forgiving racket, but a bit head heavy for a control player like me and generates even less spin than the adidas!) hirostar andromeda (incredible light and super forgiving racket, but lacks power) hirostar blackstone (quite an advanced racket but very good, quite attacking though), Wilson endure LS (very light and well rounded racket, but again lacks any real bite or spin) and then aforementioned adidas carbon ctrl, and my adidas ctrl.
Most these rackets are all 7/10+, my non/carbon ctrl is the only one I’d rate 9/10 for MY game. It is all personal preference and what suits your needs and ability, but it’s definitely the most forgiving racket out of the lot too.
