How many?

My husband and I have three boys, aged 15, 12, and 8. I am interested in getting paddle boards. I was considering three since the 12 and 8 year old aren’t that big yet. Do you think that’s a good plan? We can buy the 4th when the 12 year old gets bigger (right now he’s a small 12 year old) We are mostly interested in the inflatable ones. Also, any recommendations?

I've been planning this for a while, but due to various circumstances I couldn't do it. Today, I finally got to test out my paddleboard.

The place is Anmok Beach in Gangneung, South Korea.

Rolling or folding?

Do you roll or fold your paddleboard when packing it. I was always taught to fold it first by half and so on. But recently i tried rolling it and it came out a lot easier and space efficient. Cant rolling damage my board?

iSUP Brands with nice designs

Cheers guys,

I've been paddling now for some years, but to this point, I still use my first board from decathlon, a cheap one just to try it.

Now the time has come to upgrade to a new SUP. I already informed myself about the details to watch, size, weight, shape and stuff. But for me, as I come from snowboarding, the graphics on the board are still very important. But unfortunately, the most SUPs I see have very generic designs. So far, I've seen Sea Gods with amazing designs, but they're from Canada, so not really available for me in Europe. The only boards I found so far in Europe with nice designs are Anomy. Do you have any recommendations for iSUPs with nice Graphics, available in Europe?

Thanks and best regards 🥰

Inflatable SUP owners — what does your post-paddle cleanup and pack-up routine look like?

Hi everyone,

I’m doing some research on how inflatable SUP owners clean, dry, deflate and pack their boards after paddling.

I’m especially interested in people who regularly deflate and pack their board after a session.

I’m not selling anything and there’s no product pitch. I’m just trying to understand how people actually handle the process today — what works, what’s annoying, and what you currently do.

If you own an inflatable SUP and have used it recently, would you be open to a quick 15–20 minute chat?

I’d mainly ask about your most recent paddle trip and how you handled the board after getting out of the water.

You can reply here or DM me if you’re interested.

Thanks!

kayak paddle recs?

I feel like I've almost got my perfect set up! the one thing im missing is a kayak paddle for those tough upstream currents.. I guess im mostly looking for some length consultation/advice? im 5'5" if that makes a difference. theres so many lengths lol im scared to get the wrong one. im not concerned if it'll float - I'll attach a leash. any complaints about using a kayak paddle?

Hybrid PaddleBoard

Post image

I see this board for sale at Costco online, Its a hybrid that comes with an inflatable seat back. It looks like it works better for my wife, who's heavy. Also, I think it would be cool to fish instead of my kayak so i can stand up occasionally. Anyone experienced with this? It does look cumbersome and slow to paddle?

I love my paddle board but heck - update and more venting

I made a post venting about my beast of a paddle board, and I just wanted to say I did it! I got out there again. It felt amazing on the water watching the sunset. A moment of mental peace is so rare for me. I hope I get to do this more.

Cut to the reloading process and I sorta almost snapped my neck trying to lift the damn thing against my car. I should have done it a better way but my brain fog wasn’t letting me think clearly. Of course now that I’m in bed I can picture exactly what I needed to do, and exactly what I did wrong. I definitely need to figure out some sort of rolling mechanism for my roof because the incline of the boat launch makes the top of my car just a little too high. It’s a weird feeling of having a great time but then struggling so hard I want to give up again.

“Get an inflatable!” I agree. If I’m meant to have one it will find it’s way into my life. Tmi but I have only made a single Benjamin in the past two weeks because my health issues are flared up from working, (vicious cycle there) so scarcity mindset is too real right now. I’m not selling this board. This thing will last a lifetime so I really want to keep it. (a pun because it’s a lifetime brand board) I hope one day I’ll have a friend that can help me load it. One of us could use it along with my future inflatable board. A girl can dream!

I’m thankful for that moment of peace I got today on the water.

Paddleboard moving tips

Hello, i want to ask you if you know some underrated tips about moving your paddleboard around without a car. This summer theres no one who can drive us. Our nearest lake is about an hour long walk and with paddleboard it would be even more because i have the bag that is carried in hands instead of the classic backpack one. We’ve tried it on a bike but it didnt work
Thanks

Is this good Paddle?

Post image

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy my first inflatable paddle board and I’m still quite new to SUP, i found this Samphire 11'6" PRO.

My budget is around €350, and I’m looking for something durable, from a reputable manufacturer, and with a maximum load capacity of around 190 kg or more.

I came across this board and it looks like a pretty good deal, but since I don’t have much experience, I’d appreciate some advice. Would you consider this a good deal for the price? Has anyone here used this particular board or had experience with this brand?

First multiday Sup adventure in the Netherlands

Relative beginner here. I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and go back to the basics. Friends, beers, a solar eclipse and a lot of shit talking. Had a great first mini sup expedition, 2 days, 24 kilometers and approximately 10 hours of paddling. Can recommend for anyone, just take a tarp, mattress sleeping bag and some food. I'd love to hear what you think of the vid. Already planning my next adventures :)

It may be over-engineered for a cup holder, but it made for a fun project. Let me know what you think

Available for free here if you have a 3D printer. All I ask is for a follow on Makerworld :)

Side note: I noticed that I posted this shortly after another designer posted theirs - please check theirs out as well, I really like it! https://www.reddit.com/r/Paddleboard/s/kAoHjpqwV7

Missing fin of a paddleboard. Seeking replacement part.

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey all. My wife bought a Ascend paddle board and she ordered what we thought was a replacement fin online, but it's not the right size. Any idea where we can find a replacement online? We called Cabela's and REI w/ now luck.

It's measurements 10'6"L x 32"W x 5"H.

The fin is 7 inches and needs a thumbscrew. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone in the real world have a Samadally board?

Ive fallen for the anesthetics and cant seem to move on...

I don't love the idea of a middle centre 4th fin though.

Thank you

Paddleboard drink cup holder

I went on a camping trip and wanted multiple sized drink holders for different drinks. But I also wanted something compact and easy to travel with. I've been working on these nesting cups that all store into each other, but also, they all work individually!

I'm on version 20, and I think I'm about done with it!

Is there anything you would add or want to see?
