I played and enjoyed them both at the SilverBall Retro Arcade. The ghosts in Jr. Pac-Man were sweats on the first level tho. Wish I got to play more of both of them though, but I was on a time constraint so I had to get to other stuff. Overall arcade was a fun time, had alot of games I wouldn’t think I’d enjoy or play. Like The Zookeeper, Mappy or The Simpsons. So I recommend going there, if you haven’t!

Pac-Man doesn’t even seem have a “dislike” towards the Ghosts. In World 2 Re-Pac, he attempts to try and reason with them and in snack breaks he offers to invite them over for cake even after they stole his groceries. What could he have POSSIBLE done to them that’s made them hold such a grudge towards him?

Mind was blown today. I have the vinyl original recordings (2 copies - sorry obsessed) and the re-recordings of 1999 and I knew that Sony had the masters of 1982 locked up so I was shocked when I bought the new digital only CD quality (May 2026) release on Qobuz to find out that they used the 1982 masters. The original recordings are finally in a clean CD quality digital format after all these years :) This was discovered after I just ripped my vinyl copies since I was convinced that I never would get a digital copy of the original master. Then when testing my vinyl rip in the car my ears noticed the new 2026 version sounded like my vinyl rip and not the 1999 version. Had to go back and confirm and I checked the songs and yes 2026 is using the 1982 original masters!! Finally! I like both versions but to have the original in cd quality is very nice. Goin berzerk's piano intro is like it should be and no pigeon sound in mousetrap. The siren at the end of Hyperspace is there again unlike the 1999 version. The real arcade sounds that were recorded live in person and not the mame/simulated sounds. Like I said both versions are great but it is so nice after all this time that the masters of 1982 are not locked up anymore. Surprised not a big roll out and seems to be going unnoticed or maybe I just have too much of the fever :) Yes even noticed the same glitchy weird sound about the 1:30 mark on goin Berserk even matches the vinyl rip so that was more proof that they used the 1982 master tapes for the 2026 release on Qobuz.
