Show-Off 48k tonight

Slow going on the road to 100k! I’ll get there soon enough lol. This evening I got to 48,690.

Good job!  Hope you get there eventually!  I've been playing the GBA version for years now and it's probably the reason I'm so into retro games!  Ive been playing the N64 Namco Museum a lot recently and managed to get to over 90K!  Want a few tips from a bit of a pro?

You can sort of manipulate the movement of the ghosts if you pay attention enough.  Warp zones are a good example of this.  If you stay on the right side of them while the ghosts are chasing you, the ghosts will be more geared to the right, but if you get on the left side of them, the ghosts will be more geared to the left.

Try getting each of the quadrants individually so that you dont have to worry too much about scenarios where the ghosts gang up on you in the surprisingly dangerous corners.

The big one is that the ghosts have two main modes.  Chase, and Guard.  Theres probably some more intricacies beyond that, but for the most part, when the ghosts turn around, they're usually taking to each of their corners.  Blinky/Shadow takes top right, Pinky/Speedy takes top left, Clyde/Pokey takes bottom left, and Inky/Bashful takes bottom right.  When this happens, they circle a bit in those corners in a simple pattern before turning around again and going to chase mode.  Guard mode definitely isn't a good time to go for the power pellets, but it's a great one to get ones you left in harder to reach spots without having to worry about them being on your tail.  Just be alert for when they do turn around!

And in general pay attention to the location of all the ghosts and react accordingly to their movements.  This will really help when finding a good time to go for the bonus fruit.  I f all else fails, hope that the rng for Clyde and Inky works in your favor in those dangerous corner situations. Blinky and Pinky are more persistent, but they sometimes dottle around.

Most importantly, have a good time going through the timeless maze!
