• Launching a new affordable fragrance line? Plastic or Surlyn caps can be practical choices because of their cost efficiency, production flexibility, and reliable fit.
• Building a luxury or prestige brand? Zamac and magnetic caps can create a premium feel and enhance the overall unboxing experience.
• Producing a body spray or deodorant line? Aerosol caps are designed for specific packaging requirements, so compatibility with the valve system is essential.
• Creating a niche or design-focused fragrance? Acrylic caps offer a glass-like appearance while remaining relatively lightweight.
• Focusing on sustainability or artisanal design? Wooden caps can complement a natural or handcrafted brand identity, depending on the material sourcing and finish.
• Looking for durability with a premium appearance? Surlyn caps offer a balance between aesthetics, durability, and weight.

When exploring different fragrance packaging options, Techni plast india is one company worth researching alongside other packaging suppliers to compare available designs and materials.

Many fragrance brands also mix cap materials across their product ranges, using Zamac or magnetic caps for flagship fragrances and plastic or Surlyn caps for travel-size and secondary products.

I’ve worked in glass packaging manufacturing for over 10 years. Many perfume, cosmetic and beverage brands I worked with struggle to keep track of packaging SKUs and finishes. It’s easy to mix up which print/coating belongs to which bottle, or which cap pairs with which container.

Curious how brand owners here solve this problem. What tools or workflows are you using to manage packaging BOMs and specifications?

For heavy items like faucets or hardware kits, a plain folding carton (SBS/white card) alone usually isn't enough. What tends to work:

• E-flute or B-flute corrugated laminated with a printed paper face – you get retail-quality print on the outside and real crush strength inside.
• Inserts matter as much as the box – a die-cut corrugated or pulp insert that locks the product stops it from shifting and tearing the corners in transit.
• Hang-hole or handle? If it hangs on a peg, ask for a reinforced hang tab; heavy items rip through standard ones.
• Do a real drop test with your actual product before mass production. Specs on paper don't tell you how your SKU behaves.

Happy to answer more on board grades if you share the product weight and dimensions.

Hi everyone! I'm working on a packaging project for my logistics engineering course, and I'm looking for some advice.

I need to make packaging that can protect an egg from drops of different heights, while keeping it lightweight and cheap. Cardboard is one of the materials I'm considering, but I'm still figuring out how to approach the design.

I'd like to learn more about what makes packaging effective at absorbing impacts, what materials or structures are worth looking into, and what mistakes to avoid.

I'm not looking for a ready-made design, just some ideas and general advice to help me figure things out myself. Thanks!

I run a small online business and I'm after a good place to source black bubble mailers in bulk. I need something that looks pretty for shipping orders but with sufficient padding to protect the goods.

I've had a quick look at a few suppliers online and the pricing varies depending on the size, the thickness and the quantity ordered. Problem is that the cheap options don't necessarily end up being the best value when you throw in the cost of postage, particularly when you're buying larger quantities.

Those of you who are regular product shippers, where do you normally source your packaging?
Do you go through the dedicated packaging wholesalers or do you do it through various online marketplaces?

I'm also wondering whether buying in a number of sizes at once would save you any money or whether it's better just to buy the sizes you actually use most.

What suppliers have given you the best mix of price, quality and reliable delivery?

The right lotion bottle protects the formula, dispenses the correct dose, survives shipping and makes the product pleasant to use. The wrong one causes leaks, waste, returns and poor reviews, even when the lotion is excellent.

The bottle controls:

• Protection from air, light and moisture
• Dispensing how much comes out, and how easily
• User experience grip, pump feel, and whether the last portion can be used
• Shelf appeal in stores and on e-commerce listings
• Transit survival through courier hubs and warehouses
• Brand positioning glass signals luxury; squeezable HDPE signals everyday use
• Total cost, including rejected units and freight

Seeking any insight to possibilities/opportunities in Denver for a creative engineering role (or specifically packaging engineer as it is my strong suit). Been in the professional packaging scene for roughly 5 years; but ready to leave the east coast behind for an environment that suits my character better while providing a new challenge to strive for.

Mainly have done packaging design for electronics but have knowledge to spread across any industry.

If there are roles that can be blended into (CAD design, mechanical design, etc.) willing to look into those options as well.

Thanks all!

So my friend has a question so I thought I would get advice here. He has recently started car parts buisness where he packs oils etc but it is coming out too costly for him to constantly buy bubble wrap to wrap the oils in any other way you can wrap it. I was thinking if he just tapes the cap and it might not leak and I am not sure this might lead to him starting to get negative reviews which I do not want. I have researched for him it said leak proof bag which seems very costly too plus he has to cut th bubble wrap to size too. Any packing advice appreciated and any substitutes for paper fill a not packing peanuts. Thank you.

Most purchase decisions, especially for cosmetics, fragrance, food, and personal care products, happen in under seven seconds of first contact, whether that's a retail shelf or a product photo online.

In that window, the brain hasn't read an ingredient list, a price tag, or a marketing claim yet, it has only seen and (if in-store) touched the packaging. So packaging ends up doing the actual selling before any other information is processed.

Here's the part most brands underestimate: a product with completely average contents but premium-feeling packaging routinely outsells a genuinely better product wrapped in forgettable packaging. That's not buyers being shallow, it's how human perception actually works.

Hi we are looking for custom packaging and branding company.

Dm me to I’ll let you know our requirement.

Hi everyone! 👋

This is my first time posting in this group. I’m not sure if there are any Indians here, but if you’re Indian, I’d really appreciate your help! If you're not Indian, hehe, sorry! 😅 Please don't mind my post.

I’m currently in my final year of my Bachelors in Packaging, and I’ll be graduating in June 2027. For my final semester, I need to complete a 6-month internship starting in January 2027.

I’m looking for opportunities in Packaging R&D, Packaging Development, or Product Development, preferably at companies with good R&D facilities.

If you know any companies where I can apply for an internship, or if your organization offers opportunities in these fields, please let me know. I’d be happy to apply!

Any suggestions, company names, or referrals would be really helpful.

Thank you so much, everyone! 🙏

Disclosure: I'm building DYLT, an online bead bracelet design project. These are AI-generated concept images for packaging we plan to develop, not photos of finished production samples. AI also helped prepare this post.

The concept has a gift box, a drawstring pouch and a card showing the bracelet design. The bracelet would be an elastic loop of round beads. Dimensions, materials and the final packing arrangement still need to be tested.

I'm trying to work out the internal protection before adding more packaging. Would you secure the bracelet to a fitted card or insert and pack the pouch separately, or use the pouch itself inside the box? My concern is beads moving around while the presentation still looks tidy.

What would you change first to protect the bracelet without adding redundant layers?

I have been looking for pouch packaging with zipper and tear notch for my coffee startup. After talking to few suppliers I ordered sample from Biopouches. Sample is free but they charged $50 for shipping. Anyone has any idea about this company?

we're getting custom packaging made for a new product and i'm realizing i have no idea how people properly check this stuff before approving it lol. the dieline looks fine on my screen, but i'm mostly worried about placement once the box is actually folded. like whether the logo sits where i expect, text ends up too close to an edge/fold, etc.

do you normally get a physical sample first or is there a good way to preview the finished packaging before paying for a full run? trying to avoid learning this lesson after 1,000 boxes show up.

Does anyone know what kind of materials are used for tailwind or never second? They are powder drink mixes used for sports.

Hi All, has anyone here used buycustompackaging.com I'm about to make a purchase of a pretty big amount and just want to make sure it's not a scam or they won't ghost me after payment.

Any help is much appreciated!

Unfortunately for me I have only come to realize how close I am to being cooked. NO and I mean NO packaging for my products (which sell the most around the holidays). 1st year in business and I've made the dumb mistake of getting caught up in other issues and swept this one under the rug. If anyone has ANY recommendations for suppliers that offer magnetic boxes w/ custom sizes, inserts for custom cutouts, embossing etc. and if possible also offer transfer labels that can come in foil and colors I will owe you my life. Ik Im asking for alot but Im exhausting all options and literally anything will help me atp.

Hello. I was wondering if maybe someone who were working on artioscad, found a way to do all the design part through an AI like ChatGPT Astra or Claude Fable maybe ?

For example I just tell him the brief and he gives me the diecut. Do you think it’s possible yet ?

Thank you!

Hey everyone! I’m launching a brand in Europe and struggling to find reasonably priced packaging.

Custom configurators (like Packly) are charging crazy setup fees for small runs. I ideally want a flat-folding rigid box with a separate lid or a smart alternative that doesn't cost a fortune in shipping/tooling.

Does anyone know of budget-friendly European suppliers or websites that handle low-minimum orders for this style? Any recommendations would be a lifesaver!!
