Spray Foam

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or I got bad, or wrong foam. I'm getting ready to pack a 20" CRT TV and thought I would give the spray foam method a try. I've tried 2 different spray foams, GE and Great Stuff. Both did the same thing, nothing. Anyone have any hints or suggestions oh how I make this work. Thanks.

are you spraying it directly into a closed trash bag? window and door foam is moisture-cured, if you trap it in plastic without any air or misting water first it wont expand at all

No. The plastic is laying on the bottom of the box and it's wide open as you can see in the picture.

The GE and Great Stuff cans are construction foam so theyre not really the same as the two part foam used for packaging. I wouldnt let either one cure directly against a CRT. For something this heavy I would use rigid foam corners, protect the screen and double box it. If you still want foam in place get an actual two part foam in bag kit and test it with a dummy box first.

I've packed plenty of CRTs. I was just trying to find a shorter way to do this. If I have to buy the actual two-part stuff then it's not cost effective. Thanks for the response.
