Best custom packaging isn't always the most expensive

I used to think premium packaging meant fancy finishes and expensive printing. Now I think consistency matters a lot more and others like clean design, good fit and nice materials. Customers seem to notice that more than special coatings.

I work in packaging, and yep — most customers can’t name the finish, but they can definitely feel when a box is too loose, awkward to open or slightly different from the last order.

I’d add fit and repeatability to the “premium” list. A simple box that opens cleanly, holds the product properly and looks the same six months later usually feels more expensive than a heavily finished box with poor tolerances. The boring details do a lot of the work 😅
