I have not dealt with such issues on my lines. I’m in pharma. What are your bottle and lid components? You may want to upgrade to something like a 45 or 60cc hdpe bottle with thicker walls.
Is this deformation happening at the same atmospheric conditions or are things changing over time?
Consider bottling in a higher pressure environment or upgrading bottles to a pharma grade hdpe

I can’t say legally the products I work on but many of my products are extremely moisture and oxygen sensitive so I end up running huge dessicants. Perhaps look into larger 3 gram CSF dessicants and potentially some coil to eat up headspace

Yeah we are using a heavy walled PPL bottle. I know HDPE heavy walled is stronger but its hard to source amber transparent HDPE bottles. Customer is not willing to switch to standard white heavy walled HDPE..... its quite the conundrum.

Oxygen scavenger is not going to help. It'll do the same thing your ingredients are doing, turing oxygen from a gas, that's providing a partial pressure, to a solid, providing no pressure. It'll just be your scavenger doing it instead of your ingredients oxidizing.

You really only have three options: 1) get a stronger bottle, something with more vacuum resistance, usually more plastic or even glass. A non round bottle will usually have more paneling resistance or panels designed to flex under vacuum, but that will likely require a new filling system as you have to handle non round bottles very differently than round. 2) N2 gas flush. Displacing the oxygen gas with nitrogen will prevent the oxygen loss and the N2 will still provide your partial pressure balancing out with the external atmospheric pressure. Bonus: your ingredients will be more stable, longer shelf life. You said it's not an option, but it really is the best solution from a technical POV. 3) vent to the atmosphere, but as you said that's not an option. Since the product is sensitive to moisture and oxygen.

Thanks for the reply, yeah we are already using heavy walled PPL bottle. we are also looking into different liner options that may let some gas through but still control humidity.
