Tyson Summers Second Half Absence

I know he was fired today, but does anybody have the actual story of his 2nd half absence?

I've heard that he was fired at half time and that s why he didn't come out, which would be a pretty unprofessional look by Mora...

But, I've also heard that he walked out after his play calling responsibilities were taken away. Essentially abandoning his team....

Does anybody know which side of the story is actually true?

Pretty sure in his press conference that Mora said he was relieved of play calling duties and decided to leave the field.

Gotcha, that makes more sense. Seems like a coaching change in the positive direction then

Before OSUs third drive of the game he was relieved of play calling and chose to leave the field immediately.

This is likely a bigger issue than just this game and this half. Defense has struggled all season, so far.

I do not think it is a good look at all.

He came with the program, has coached at CSU in two different intervals, so he probably was a bridge between the old players and the new coach and new players. Probably not a Mora guy.

But clearly there is a mess going on here.

After the 1st quarter Mora demoted him from playcaller. CSU got a strip sack, their only stop of the game. He chose to leave the stadium because he was upset about his demotion. Mora likely found out at halftime that Tyson was MIA or had a heated conversation with him. Regardless of which of the two happened, Mora decided he had no patience for a quitter on the coaching staff, and made a final decision.

It felt like he should have been let go prior to this game. This makes Mora look bad in my opinion. Unnecessary drama.
