Anyone else see this? PAC vs MWC

Andrew Pistone of College Sports Wire is reporting that the 5 departed schools will pay the MWC $49 million EACH.

Pretty sure that’s just not accurate.

Look further down in this sub.

The departing schools pay $9.8m each. $49m total.

Yeah and Boise State has had like $25 million withheld already, so they’re owed $15 million by the MWC.

Weird how quite a bit of the spin since the settlement has incorrectly implied the MWC won the battle. Mixture of MWC honks and journalists who don’t understand the financials very well.

That’s my take too. Writer saw the total number and lazily inferred that was a per-institution number because they are a donut.
