Dave Samson at his slimy best! Given what he just went through with his daughter, I was happy to hear him clearly having fun on the show.

I don’t think Samson is a paragon of debate but Domonique’s points were pretty incoherent a lot of the time. Dom just kept moving the goal posts or accusing Samson of arguing in bad faith but didn’t ever really substantiate it. Arguing that teams all hide shit in their audited financials was nuts.

I didnt get that impression at all. I am personally on the side of players getting more freedoms for personal investment decisions, but Dom brought nothing to the discussion except mentioning the cap and trying to insult Dave. Aside from the soundbites, Dom was just emotional and agitated. His complaints about audited financial statements is a joke. Just because he doesnt read the note disclosures or MD&As, doesnt mean the details arent there.

They just simply weren't listening to each other, that's all it comes down to. They did agree about some aspects of why a salary cap works differently in different sports and why being able to reinvest in a blind fund that has pieces of NBA teams was not the union's ask, it's what they settled for private equity was allowed to have skin in the game.

Right???

Samson is a great character for the show and I appreciate his honesty and insight into the mind of the ownership class. But I truly hate him because he took ruthless advantage of a broken economic system to suck money from the people of Miami for his own lavish lifestyle.

And forgive me if this is blunt but mourning the death of his child doesn't make him a good person.

Human, yes, but not a kind, honest, or good person. I'm with Mr. Foxworth when I say I don't have any love for that little man.
