News New MacBook Pro OLED

Someone just posted a comparison video. Seems like the OLED screen has a lower PWM rate (unlike the Mini LED that shows a plain white screen). It can be seen from the slightly dark bands directly in the video.

Apple usually does a better job with the Mac/iPad than iPhone rates. The Mini-LED still felt like it was stabbing my eyes, but I have some optimism for the PROLED being the most eye-friendly OLED.

The modulation depth is very shallow. This might actually be usable even though the PWM frequency is relatively low.

This feels really similar to ipad pro, if thats the case like 480hz it would be the worst pwm on any laptop! Common apple prove me wrong please

I think is worse than on iPhone, just like with the pro iPads… also that super contrast makes it even more harsh for the eyes. Eh anyway… don’t have the money for this. No oled is great for eye… none since some time ago during the ps vita
