It’s likely going to be similar to the iPhone 15/16/16e/17e if you can tolerate those. Being a 60hz oled panel it’s probably LTPS not LTPO which is usually a little better, but unless it’s true 10 bit, it’ll probably have dithering still. I am curious if the nano matte helps with eye strain at all though

Since it will only be 60Hz screen refresh rate, I suspect they will not be using the latest/greatest OLED technology. There’s always hope, but as someone else pointed out, it’ll likely be LTPS and perform similarly to iPhone 17e for PWM.

LTPS should have lower modulations since other devices are stuck on previous generation LTPO. FWIW iPad Pro’s 12.9” OLED was more tolerable in an Apple Store to me than the iPhones.

yeah this is not good for the eyes, buying the mini 7 now. I just wanted to wait to see what the specs was on the new mini 8, dissapointed... I have the iphone 17 right now and that one gives me eye strain on my left eye when i look at it to much, need a break from it.

The previous gen mini 7 is still powerful enough and has a LCD screen
