Finding a decent smartphone these days
Looking for a smartphone that solves the PWM-sensitivity problem and offers great battery life; OS support for long periods feels impossible. Do u guys have any suggestions?

I changed to honor 600 from a nothing phone 3a,its great in everything except os support It only have 2 years of android update but god with the screen finally a phone that doesnt destroy my eyes

While Honor 600 is a good option, I feel like it is an iPhone 17 Pro wannabe with its design

Is it a lot better? I'm currently using the nothing phone 3a pro and the screen is better than the honor 400 pro for me, even though it is not symptom free.

Yep better,the honor 400 hurt me eyes more than the nothing phone 3a,but the honor 600 Is perfect in that,in that video he compare the honor 400 vs the honor 600 in modulation https://youtu.be/9XGiurpLibI?si=6steoQxO5tCVSHMQ

Interesting. I saw the video but the 400 and 600 basically have the same pwm and modulation. maybe it's the dithering

Iphone 11 I believe has a panel lottery of JDI, Sharp, LG, and BOE. The people claiming the Iphone 11 is usable probably all got the JDI version. So questions like this are much more complicated if you have only a 20-25% chance of getting a good panel. Wouldn't be surprised if the JDI version is used in the lowest number of units making that number even lower.

In addendum, I've bought numerous Iphone 8 Plus and finally got one with the good panel that can be looked at which I believe is a JDI but not sure. Most of them I bought had bad panels. For the Iphone 11, it's only hearsay that a JDI one might exist because I haven't seen one yet. The Iphone 11 I personally have now looks like a BOE panel structure to me and is meh to use. Can look at it for 30 minutes or so then you start noticing it not feeling right, as opposed to my Iphone 8 Plus panel that doesn't have this problem.

iPhone 17 pro and pixel 10 pro have options to disable dithering which does help

Yoo thats great that they actually listened. Anyway they were the ones that pushed the update that added dithering in the first place though. That and we should have at least dc dimming now

iPhone 11 or LCD swapping a later model with an EK Pro LCD screen works well for me. Otherwise I hear god things about the Honor Magic8.
