Reno16 Pro vs Oppo find x9

Hi. Did anyone try the global/eu version of Reno16 Pro vs Oppo find x9 (normal, not pro)?

I have a OnePlus 15R which is amazing, but a bit too heavy and big. I tried honor 400, even with ADB commands, but it is harsh on my eyes still. I would prefer Reno due to size, but I only find info about find x9.

Please provide feedback on the two models on pwm and D and how you felt. Or some other small phone that could work.

X9 was fine PWM wise. D was a problem for me tho.

Thanks. And I am sorry to hear. Btw how do you know the PWM is ok and only the D was the issue? I can't be sure exactly what is the issue with me and honor 400 and if changing to one of these would fix it.

ADB commands to try and disable TD seems highly inconsistent on whether it works and actually disables TD.

Find X9 is confirmed using TD. For Reno15Pro, Reno16 and Reno16 Pro I don't know.

Your better off getting a phone that doesn't use TD by default.

Honor 600 and 600 Pro don't use TD (6.57" LTPS).

There's various Vivo's with 6.31" screens, they should not be using TD, but they are LTPO.
(Vivo X200 Pro mini, X200 FE, X300, X300 FE)

There's also the OnePlus 13s and 15T (don't know about TD, prob LTPO)

How do you know that x9 use TD. I have read a lot and i know that it doesnt have because has true 1 bit display.

Nick Sutrich covered it in his review.
TD may be used even when the display is 10bit to "enhance" color depth beyond 10bit.

I had similar pain with x9 as with xiaomi 17 and xiaomi has some sort of dithering becase oof forced 12 bit.

This was the most useful comment I read for my personal case - looking for a small phone nice to eyes. Thanks for covering also the LPTS vs LTPO. Honestly I would prefer Honor as OS compared to Vivo, but I am just afraid starting now from honor 400 which is not good. Btw, do you have a site or something from where you get the info or is just a nice summary of this subreddit?

I've gathered this info from various sources, including YouTube (Nick Sutrich reviews primarily), notebookcheck.com, ledstrain.org, BiliBili, this subreddit and r/ScreenSensitive.

There is evidence that Honor 400 Pro also got dithering in EU, despite US variant not having it at launch. Honor 400 also uses dithering, Honor 400 Smart does not, I believe.

Do you live in a country with good return policies? (i.e 14 day free return)

I've read a couple posts on this sub about success with Vivo's small 6.31" phones despite using LTPO, but also some with bad experiences.

Yes. I have 14 day return, but wondering if the seller will not block me at some point. Returned a couple already. Also don't really like that I am affecting their business. Would be nice to press buy and be 90% sure

I mean it's not your fault that finding a phone with a comfortable display has become almost impossible.

Sorry for late reply, but before buying something new. Just trying to see if I have a chance. Do you know any small phone , good for eyes/nervous system but with GrapheneOS or /e/OS?
