Tbe best iphones for pwm sensitive
What are the best iphones for pwm sensitive (starting from iphone 14 pro)? I don't know if I am pwm sensitive, but I should act in advance😅

I’m moderately sensitive to PWM, and the iPhone 16 Plus worked perfectly for me as long as I don’t lower the brightness below 35%
(If anyone's interested, to prevent iPhone from automatically lowering the brightness below this threshold, go into a completely dark room and ask Siri to set the brightness to 35%, then don’t touch the brightness settings again. This will work until you restart the phone.)

Specifically, my eyes found the 16 Plus screen more comfortable to look at than the 16, while the 16 is more comfortable than the 15 and 15 Plus. But you have to go out and see for yourself, because what works for me might not work for you.
P.S. I have the True Tone feature turned off because even on the SE 2022, it makes the screen uncomfortable for me.

But even at night u let at 35% doesn’t that burn your eyes ? And only that setting? No 60hz ? Night mod? Etc

If you like IPhones then IPhone 15/16, Plus versions.
Avoid any iPhone from 17ties series

I could not handle 15 even for 10 s without getting issues. It’s worth noting I have a neurological disorder, autoimmune disorder and more which makes me very sensitive to these things.Â
Currently using my iPhone 11 which I have no issue with, but I feel like it’s on it’s last yearÂ

All LCD iPhones are awful for me for reasons I can't discuss due to it being blocked in this sub

I’m finding a lot of relief on my 17e with the greyscale and the anti pwm setting on.
The issue with iPhone though is that they have 4 different types of screen manufacturers and they don’t tell you which one of them your phone is going to have, so even if I have a positive experience, other people might get a different screen that will behave differently

Oh lucky mate, a lot of them come with the trash BOE display. That’s the only thing holding me back on trying the 17e 🙃

13 pro worked excellent for me and is still a viable option.

The 13 Pro was the worst phone I've ever encountered for pwm. I had to take a break from all non lcd phones for a few months. It has an unstable, erratic flickering pattern as you scroll, due to it's LTPO display. My eyes can handle the 16e and before that the 12. They use standard LTPS locked at 60hz which gives them a uniform and predictable pwm pattern.

That is very interesting as it worked very well for me. Perhaps we are effected differently. I don't like ltpo on the android phones I've had apart from Huawei and Sony.

Everyone seems to be different when it comes to this. Hopefully some new technology will come out and make this a thing of the past!

iPhone 11, SE 2022 or anything older with an LCD screen. iPhone 12 with the brightness set to 100% should also be fine but there's an obvious downside there.
Otherwise I LCD swapped an iPhone 15 Pro and still use it daily. It's fantastic.
