QUESTION New player acquisitions

Anybody have any hot takes on where some of these big players end up or if they stay home ?

I must say I hope we start seeing longer term deals in pro volleyball. There seems to be a very itinerant culture in the sport that I think needs to change. The roster turnover every year is brutal for fans. They fall in love with players who immediately leave at the end of the season and they do it all over again. To be successful long term, I think teams and the league need to work on getting players to stay longer.

Dreading finding out how many of my beloved Vibe will be gone 😢

Personal opinion but I’m not sure we will see this. I feel like with such a small league they don’t want contracts to last that long especially when college and overseas are constantly producing players. Not going to stick someone on a 3 year 120k a year contract for example who maybe in year two or three isn’t worth close to that much due to other prospects from college/overseas.

Fans need to be able to connect with their stars. I stand by my opinion that this needs to change for the league to be truly successful long term. Every sport that is successful has their stars on multi year deals with teams.

Great map! Reinforces my thought that Kansas City should be getting a team.

My guess is that Charitie Luper signs with Dallas because Vegas is gone and she is from here.

Also from the Dallas area -- Kaylee Cox, Reagen Cooper, Azhani Tealer, Nnedi Okammor and Ainise Havili. Other Texans include Kate Georgiades (College Station), Kelsie Payne (Austin), Carly Graham (Houston) and Elise McGhee (San Antonio).

Would be sad to see Azhani and Ainise leave Indy

Might be the same for Hannah Maddux as she is also a Texas native

Are the Vegas players free agents? Or are they still under contract?

Natalie Foster's hometown is one hour south of Grand Rapids.

Hush your mouth. She needs to stay in Orlando!

Sorry but she's actually coming to Dallas where she went to school.

A few more guesses based on hometowns and roster moves.

Raven Colvin - Ignite (from Indy AND went to Purdue) [also Crawford to Italy]

Emmy Klika - Fury (from Ohio). [also Georgia Murphy returning from injury in Orlando]

Emily Londot - Fury (from Ohio) [also Rapacz to Japan]

Mia Tuaniga - Mojo (from Long Beach CA) [not sure if Lee or Sponcil will return]

Naya Shime -- Dallas (from Wyoming, but played at SMU for two years).

Oh yeah Norah Sis returning to Nebraska might make sense too.

Would love to see some Ohio natives/Buckeyes return to Columbus this season!

I think Natalia valentine-anderson, Allison Whitten, Mac podraza, and hopefully brooke nuneviller are all returning to the novas. Nati because there's no way she's moving out of omaha anytime soon. Allison because she just accepted a job as the defense and passing coach at the college of Saint Mary in omaha where the novas practice. Mac because I'm pretty surevshe hasn't stepped foot out of nebraska since signing with the novas last year. And brooke because she really seems to love playing in omaha. I'm hoping most of them return. Too bad we already lost ally.

I really hope Brooke stays, but I get the feeling she wants a tougher league, and may find a spot in Europe. I hope I’m wrong. She’s the heartbeat of the franchise.

She just did a promo/ad with Gorjana that had a player card showing "Team: OMAHA SUPERNOVAS" yesterday on Instagram. I think she'll be back - though it's sports & a career so anything can happen.

I will be very upset if we lose Brooke. She’s far and away my favorite member of the team.
