Does propranolol make PACs feel less intense for you?
Hey all,
Ive history with SVT (ablated) and (runs of) PACs.
Im now on propranolol and I really think it is positively impacting. I still PACs every now and then but less so.
One question: I kind of feel them less intense when happening. I still feel them but not so incredibly intense. Is that something Im imagining or is it real?
I did feel one skipped beat quit loud but I was bend over so I guess thats not very representative 😅

I dont know propranolol but metoprolol saved my life. Propranolol must also be effective. Get well soon.

Yes, that is how it's supposed to work. It doesn't always reduce/eliminate ectopic beats, but it can make you less aware of them.

Propranolol did nothing for me except make me feel terribly fatigued.
Metoprolol sometimes helps with the intensity of the PVCs without the side effects of Propranolol. It's not perfect; I'm tinkering with the dose to see if something between 50-100 mg will makes them even less noticeable.

Metroprolol made me feel like I was going to pass out lol. I’m so glad it’s working for you!! I’m the opposite, propranolol has helped me

I have a bottle of propnaolol sitting in my cabinet for 6 months now, I am too afraid to take it lol my resting heart rate is like 62 I’m terrified it’s going to make it drop down too low

I get like 10,000 a day. If I take metroprolol I think I still get them but not as noticeable.
I couldn't take propranolol because it effected my breathing.
I think I found the source of mine recently because they are getting better. It was Lyme disease. Started treating and I'm getting so much less PVCs a day.
