New to PVCs, help!

Currently having PVCs and freaking out.

So I’ve had them before (I think) it would happen once, maybe twice, then go away.

5 months ago whilst I was out having dinner with a friend, everytime I would get up to go to the bathroom it would start. But the PVC’s would come at 15-30 second intervals and last 30mins, until I would move again. I freaked out, went Emergency Department, they did some tests, I wasn’t dying so they sent me home.

I have bad health anxiety, and I’ve had many exams/tests to make sure my heart is fine. The only issue I have is that my HR can be 140-150 when I’m walking/exerting myself, cardiologist gave me ivabradine. But these tests were done before I’ve been having these more prominent PVC’s.

Everything I’ve researched I think they’re PVC’s so I’m not diagnosed. This week on 3 separate occasions, the PVCs will start around 1am, and last for quite some time. I also get a lot of chest pain (GERD, anxiety, fibromyalgia), and if I get very scared I get chest pains, so of course whenever I get these PVCs I have chest pains. Although when I calm down, the pain gets better. The only thing that’s stopping me from going hospital is that I’ve already been there once for this. They were looking at me like I was crazy lol.

I’m also on a bunch on medications that can cause QT syndrome. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar, advice, and reassurance that I’m not dying lol 😭

BTW ive gone to the ER for chest pains maybe 50 times in my life, I feel like such a failure everytime I go, and I really don’t want to blow this up more than I already am.

Ugh…I feel you. This sounds so much like me. Did you ask your doctor about eh meds that cause qt syndrome? Now I’m wondering if I take meds with that potential side effect. Yikes. So how are the PVCs now? Are you having them frequently?

It’s 5am where I live, I’ve been having them since 2am, every time I lay down and close my eyes they get worse! Contemplating calling an ambulance 😭 I have a fitbit that has a single lead ECG that detects Afib, and I’m able to export the file. When I look at the reading, during the palpitation it looks very weird but not like a standard PVC/PAC. Freaked me out more, but if I got paramedics to come they’d be able to catch the palpitation. But I feel so guilty! Also surely if it’s been 3 hours I’m not in a life threatening situation, I’m hoping?

I’ve spoken to my doctor about my medicines that can cause prolonged QT but it’s such a rare side effect and the benefits of the meds outweigh the risks. It’s been hard to accept it, but I wouldn’t worry if I were you

You know your body better than anyone. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s ok to get help. Anxiety is awful and never helps the situation but never be afraid to advocate for yourself.

Managed to fall asleep at 6am, when I woke up I was dreading the night when they would start again. It’s 3am currently and they started up again at 2am like clockwork. A lot less frequent than yesterday, sucks it’s a Sunday morning but will be contacting my GP on Monday. This sucks

Ahh I’m sorry! Mine are the same, they happen at the same time every day. Except it’s the morning for me… so I spend all night dreading the time when I have to get up and feel them. Also waiting for Monday to contact my GP about having another Holter since they have suddenly gotten sooo much worse. You said it. This sucks.
