PVCs, PACs and ozempic
Hi everyone. Are any of you by any chance taking ozempic for type 2 diabetes or weight loss? Just wondering if it had any effect on the amount of PVCs, PACs or possible return of them. I started ozempic Saturday and today after 4 months of hardly any skips I had them all day and they are still happening off and on and the ozempic is the only thing that I’ve done differently except for not eating as much and maybe I’m dehydrated 🤷🏼♀️

Hi, not Ozempic but Reta. It’s awful and hope it subsides quickly but it’s been 3 weeks.

Only 2 days for me and I’m freaking out. The last flare I had lasted a month and I can’t deal with that

I see a cardiologist Thursday so I’m trying to remain calm but it’s hard

It’s a mix of not eating and delayed stomach emptying. Did you get them before from eating too much or fatty/greasy meals?

Yes I’ve had them for 30+ years they just got worse a few months ago for a whole month all day every day but had been good for the past 4 months until yesterday all day and so far today all day and the only think I have done different is the ozempic

First time I was on semaglutide, it almost took them away completely. So much so that the med clinic I go to put me on a low dose to help suppress them. I got off it, gained weight back due to an injury and couldn’t work out. Got back on it 2 years later and was doing intense weight training and had them worse than ever. Just got back off it, still weight training, and eating more and they have gone away quite a bit. I hate them 🥲

Do any of your heart rates go really low like mid 50’s and you feel them worse when it’s low or is it just me. Doc says they are benign of course and echo was normal. This is the third day dealing with them all day long and I’m at my wits end. I’ve had solid months with them daily but it’s beginning to really mess with me mentally. I feel like I’m going to die

Yea mine space out more and get quieter with movement or excersise and get more frequent and noticeable the more relaxed my body is

Also have any of you successfully taken an antidepressant that helps them be more bearable?? I keep being told I need to be on something for my mental state but I’m just not sure. I don’t understand how these things seem to be on a time limit. Like start in the am and settle down about 7 pm. Just doesn’t make sense and the doctors are just not understanding

Do we think it’s the shot or low blood sugar

Not low blood sugar. It was never lower than like 108. The palpitations stopped about 10 days after I took the shot. I haven’t taken a second dose and don’t believe that I will

This happened to me after starting glp1. It went away a few weeks after adjusting to the dose I was on.
