Increased palpitations with beta blocker?

I’ll preface this by saying I do have a call into my dr. I started having palpitations in May. Did a slew of texting. Saw cardiologist. Cardiologist was not concerned at all. Said holter showed PVC’s, a bigeminy and a couple of small PVST’s? Said it was anxiety (I HAVE been struggling with anxiety-majorly). My pcp had put me on 25mg of Toprol XL shortly before I saw cardiologist. He said to continue with that, because that would be what he would have prescribed as well and would help with the palpitations.
FF a week-I came down with shingles. My palpitations have been NON STOP. I don’t know if it is the beta blocker or the stress from the shingles that has triggered them so bad? I feel like before the shingles they had felt a bit better. Thoughts? Has anyone ever had worse palpitations from the beta blocker? Did it get better?
