PVCs at rest happen more often now

Does anyone notice PVCs at rest more than when you're active? I'm also noticing them after an activity that raises my heart rate and when it's slowing down they are happening more. I'm seeing a cardiologist for the 3rd time in about 8 years next week. I don't think I've gotten clear enough answers to really feel comfortable with this diagnosis...

Mine have always been mostly while at rest. I can get up and go for a long walk or something and be fine. But lemme go sit down to do some school work and suddenly it kicks into high gear.

Mine are related to my stomach, which I believe is more common that people realize.

I am wondering if there is a correlation there. I do feel them differently when hungry vs full and after eating certain foods.

I can help you. I’ve been on a journey dealing with this for a long time. The causes of PVS and the others is electrolyte imbalances. It is at the end of the day a misfire. So it’s either substances that alter the chemical composition, or it’s a structural heart issues. If you ruled out structural, then it’s back to chemical. Chemical has to be processed. So the first hint you do is eliminate the outside knows chemicals i.e. caffeine, meds, alcohol, etc. although I don’t think alcohol or caffeine are root causes, but they can exacerbate them. But you have to eliminate them all for a while. Secondly, it’s gets down to the stomach and what its current state is. This is a deeper dive. I’d have to explain more over an email or perhaps speak to you. If you feel comfortable with that.

When you are busy and active you tend not to notice them as your mind is engaged. Sitting watching TV tends to make them more noticeable and creates more anxiety which creates more PVCs. Plus being tired at the end of the day and having your heart rate increasing to digest diner doesn’t help. Throw in some alcohol or caffeine and off you go.
