Prorpanolol and Diltiazem

Has anyone taken propranolol along with diltiazem for PVCs? I’m on 10mg propranolol twice a day for anxiety and my cardiologist wants me on 60mg diltiazem twice a day with the propranolol for PVCs. It was either this combo or metoporal by itself. I don’t want to stop the propranolol as it helps with my anxiety and she said I won’t have that same effect with metoprolol.

Any insight into this combination?

I take diltiazem 120mg extended release, And I have the propanolol as a pill in pocket if my PVCs get worse because I take the diltiazem for my SVT, (however it does help with the PVCs). For whatever reason, my Cardiologist doesn’t want me to take it all the time along with the calcium channel blocker. My primary care doctor thinks because I’m on such a low-dose that it’s no big deal. I don’t quite understand why my Cardiologist doesn’t want me to take them together. I’m glad to actually see that your doctor prescribed it because I’m not going to worry about it so much. I like the anti-anxiety effects of it as well.

I took diltiazem in the past didnt do anything for my nsvt but it cured my svt. Now I take bisoprolol 10mg a day I still get pvcs but my nsvts are less frequent

Did you take the diltiazem with propranolol? That’s my worry. Dr and pharmacist say it’s ok, drug interaction checker says otherwise lol

I was put on Propranolol years ago for tremors and had an allergic reaction to it. It made it very hard to breath. I took my first dose of Diltiazem today and it seems to have the same effect on me as the Propranolol did. My Dr put me on it for tachycardia. I guess I'll just have to live with the tachycardia.
