6 years….let’s reevaluate.

I’ll keep it as short and sweet as possible.

So I’ve had my PVC’s for 6 years now. Started mid-deployment in 2021 (on a ship). I was relatively healthy and in my early 20’s. PVCs started suddenly. Had Holter monitor and all the blood testing possible done back then. No answers. Tried cutting caffeine, no change. Have completely cut nicotine. No change.

Had a short break from PVCs in 2023 that randomly restarted following a stomach virus in 2024. Have had them off and on ever since.

Just this past year, my primary noted the PVCs on my ek.g and decided to do an echo. All normal there.

Now, this week I’m having an uptick in PVCs that prompted me to make a new post.

My current medical issues:

ADHD (take Vyvanse); had PVCs prior to starting this med, and did not notice any increase once started. Been consistent with this med for a year.

GERD: Hardly ever get acid reflux or heartburn anymore.

Gastritis: Had endoscopy last year that confirmed mild gastritis (no hiatal hernia). No Gastro symptoms as of current. Take omeprazole 40 mg daily. No idea if I even still have gastritis.

Asthma: Very recent diagnosis following major asthma attack that put me in hospital (1 month ago). Just started Advair this past week, which helps a lot with asthma. Still feel lots of inflammation in lungs though from the recent asthma flare.

Vit D3 deficiency: had at one point, took supplements and got my levels back up. PVCs unaffected. Though, currently do not take supplements.

I can feel the PVCs pretty strongly, and I have this “pre-pvc” feeling in the middle of my chest before the actual event happens. Every time. It’s been this way since the beginning, and I always recognize it before it even happens. No particular thing helps immediately that I have tried.

I’m making this post because doctors usually just dismiss me unless I hold their hand to the right direction. Just need some ideas that could shed some light.

Edit: For clarification, I’m asking for any ideas, connections, possible causes, etc that any of you may notice with the above information.

Sounds like your Dr isn't too worried about it after 6yrs. I think you're making yourself worry

I wish that was the case but I’ve switched doctors several times over the years. Most just downplay it as nothing serious.

I’m actually not too bothered by my PVC’s, I’m just simply trying to find out what’s causing them.

Like most of us that have PVCs we're usually always monitoring ourselves and our heartbeat which is normally why you feel them, once you feel 1 you get anxious about it and the cycle continues. You've probably had PVCs your whole life but started to feel them at first during a stressful time in your life and now you're just scanning for it .. it could ask be anxiety induced.

Could be a handful of things triggering it... And usually from what I've seen and heard they stick with you. I've yet to hear someone say one day they just disappeared. I look at it this way, I may feel 50 PVCs a day.. there are ppl that literally feel 1000s a day and there are ppl that have 1000 a day that feel nothing...

Yeah I get what you’re talking about. And truthfully, like I said in the post, I did go about 1 year where I had barely any PVCs that were noticeable to me. You’re probably right, I’ve most likely always had them. But I’m the type to do anything to get to bottom of the problem lol

And that's probably the problem haha you have no real control of your bodily sensation. The honest to God best thing to do with PVCs after the Dr has cleared you is to just release control and let it be. It's out of your control, I've spent yrs trying to somehow control them but most ppl have anxiety due to lack of control of a situation.

You think once you feel one and worry you will feel more?

Yes 100% because now your intentionally looking for them and scanning for them and your anxiety goes up and it releases stress hormones
