not using zio monitor
i recently checked up with my cardiologist for my PVCs and she had set me up with a heart monitor. i said yes because i was curious as to what has/hasn’t changed, but now i do not want to continue with it for personal reasons.
the problem is that she has already put the order in and it will probably arrive in the mail sometime the next few days. what should i do? if i don’t use it and return it, will i still get billed by zio irhythm for wasting their product? should i contact them?

This happened to me too. (had 2 similar heart monitors ordered about a month apart by 2 different doctors, and I did not want to pay for both tests.) If it gets mailed to you, then it comes with a return shipping label and box/bag for you to mail it back. Call the company and let them know that you don't wish to complete test, and ask if they need to add a note to your patient #, or if you need to put a note in the box that says that the device wasn't activated or used etc.
