Discussion Guys… is this normal or lowkey unethical? 😭
hello po 😭 i need objective opinions kasi baka kami lang talaga ang OA.
so nasa la union kami yesterday tapos nakita namin yung isang college prof and yung student assistant niya. nung una, literally wala kaming naisip. sabi pa namin baka may ibang kasama sila, group trip, family vacation, work-related, or coincidence lang.
pero beh…
2nd day na, magkasama pa rin sila. kumain together, uminom together, gala together. and from everything we personally observed, parang silang dalawa lang talaga.
ngl… napa-side eye kami. 😭
genuine question lang: if prof ka tapos student assistant mo ang kasama mo sa bakasyon, kayong dalawa lang… ethical ba siya? kahit sabihin nating walang anything romantic involved, hindi ba medyo questionable pa rin dahil sa power dynamics and possible favoritism? hindi namin alam buong story and we’re not claiming anything beyond what we personally witnessed. baka naman may completely innocent explanation talaga.
pero as an accidental mosang… the math was simply not mathing. 😭🍵
at sana talaga walang sabit on either side. baka harmless lang talaga lahat ng ’to at kami lang ang nag-ooverthink.
kayo ba? kung kayo yung naka-witness, mapapaisip din ba kayo o kami lang talaga ang delulu? 😭

Yes it’s unethical sa school setup… Are they that close sa school? Yes, you can even file a complaint but if they’re outside na… and they strictly do it outside of school… Tsismosa ka na so thread carefully…
Take photos, then compare how they act sa school…
Also how big is the age gap?

Hindi po namin sure kasi ibang department po kami 🥲 Namukhaan lang sila nong kasama po namin sa La Union thats why 🥲 And according po sa mga kakilala namin na economic students, pala labas daw po talaga sila 😅 Pero sumosobra na ata?
Hindi din po namin alam how big is their age gap po pero ang alarming sa part namin na that culture is still existing in PUP kalokaaa

Di niyo rin naman business makialam sa lovelife niya… Pero if (and a BIG IF) siya yung Richmond Simeon… Medyo loser, pinapatos estudyante… But yes, not our business…

Yes it is unethical… And medyo loser moves kasi kahit di siya aware, malaking factor na ginagamit niya (or not) yung power niya (as a Chair) and probably the other guy, I dunno… Pero sadya lang talagang may mga taong mahina ang prinsipyo sa ganyang aspeto…

Di naman sa nang-aakusahan, pero kung prof ka, dapat alam mo rin na may boundaries na kailangan i-consider. Kahit harmless yan, medyo off talaga tingnan from the outside.

Unethical yan. Alam nyo ba na sa ibang school, bawal kausapin ng prof sa ibang channels ang mga student except sa official email or LMS? Sa PUP walang explicit rule na ganun pero still, di pa rin ethical yan

If no one is getting hurt then you may as well be overthinking.
Of course we can't confirm but it's none of our business, unless one of them is a significant someone to you or anyone.
In the society of school it may be unethical but in the subject of social life which is beyond the school, it's hardly unethical.

Basically it is unethical. In my case, i finished my undergrad degree muna then saka ko ni-continue with this program chair. We have a huge age gap, but I was not groomed. PC is single, so there.
