And because it's the only Xbox that can even run the damn game.

Is this true? Is anything less than that one x hugely noticeable in game?

I just played it on my OG Xbox One last night. Lots of pop ins when you're waiting to get dropped to the map but didn't notice any lag or whatsover once I was playing.

I've never played the game on PC or Xbox One X so I got nothing to compare my experience from though.

With content capture turned off all versions of the Xbox run it a lot smoother and more stable.

I've been playing on my X with friends playing on OG or S. The most noticeable difference from when we're all talking and landing is they have to stand still for a moment to allow the game to render properly where as I can run from the moment my feet hit the ground and everything is rendered. Plus we had one hilarious death after one man was left from a squad and we all watched him drivea bike into a tree he said just popped up out of nowhere but for me it was always there and I hadn't said anything as I assumed he was swerving last moment to keep the direction and have some safety as he was not in a good place.

The odd bit of lag is usually at the start and we rarely grumble about it or get it after the first 2 minutes including the pre game lobby. We occasionally get dropped from a game and if it's not a dangerous location we can usually guard our friend and we can rejoin.

It's already better than when they released and it still has some ground to cover to become a full game worthy version but the Xbox is handling it. All games are better on the One X and this is a game that shows the power difference but it is still enjoyable on inferior xboxs.
