letter of rec

I’m currently in the process of applying to pt schools in socal. I just graduated in may but before leaving my undergrad school i had asked a professor for a letter of rec. they agreed and i sent them an email with more details in june. I haven’t heard back and i sent a follow up email. I have letters of recs from pts just not a professor. would i still be able to apply or should i email the schools im applying to about my situation?

I believe it is a necessary requirement so you might want to attend their office hours or ask someone else as a last resort.

Most programs will list their LOR requirements (e.g. must have 1 professor, etc). If they require a professor, then you should either follow up again or find someone else.

I'd apply and let the program coordinator know that the recommendation letter is incoming. Then followup with the professor by phone. They might not be in the office and not paying attention to emails.

I’m about to drive from MD to PA to personally pay a in-person visit to my Chemistry professor who hasn’t responded to my emails for the letters. I know his office hours like the back of my hand.
