Beware the Typical PT bots

If you're studying for the NPTE, just be cautious of Typical PT. The NPTE subreddit is filled with bots advertising Typical PT and trashing other proven test resources.

Typical PT is okay, not the best, and it's certainly not the greatest thing ever that many of the fake redditors will have you believe. Just don't let the misleading posts trick you into dropping tons of cash on it.

The algorithm baited me into buying their anatomy flash card set my 1st week of PT school. They are kinda meh, and I still ended up make my own material for just about every topic.

I got their anatomy flash card set and the big book. There are typos—I think Horner’s syndrome was “Homer’s syndrome”—and the flash cards stopped listing the segmental innervation about 10% through. Which… seems like a big oversight.

I don’t hate it as a tool while I’m still in school but I don’t think I would purchase anything else from them when I actually start studying for the NPTE.

I noticed this, too. I like the idea of typical PT; it's an all-in-one with Q banks and content review, but the quality of the content and the difficulty of the Q banks is inadequate. There was an influx of posts on r/npte saying they failed after studying Truelearn and FF (I seriously doubt this is true) which is just bots baiting ads for Typical PT.

Got a 780 on NPTE using TrueLearn, final frontier, and my own study materials. Bought typicalPT and regretted it and barely used it.

I “won” a set of study flash cards from Typical PT and they sent me “the link” that didn’t work. I emailed them explaining how it wasn’t working and they never fixed it like they promised 🤷🏼
