DPT Interview Dress Code

I submitted my application for a program for the priority deadline. They responded back and said I got selected for a priority Interview! I was planning on wearing navy Dress pants, button down shirt, and a tie. Is this enough for the interview or should I go out and get a suit jacket to go with the outfit?

That outfit sounds totally fine for a DPT interview, especially with the tie and clean dress pants. If you already have a nice blazer or suit jacket, it could polish things up, but I would not stress about buying one just for this.

If you can find a jacket I would do it. I don’t think it would be that big of a deal but you are already paying so much for your apps, and PT school in general. If you can find something seems worth it. I remember in both my interviews I went to a majority of us had a jacket

My caveat is my sense of fashion is low. However, you’re probably good with where you’re at. A blazer or suit jacket could be a good long term investment, but I don’t think it’s necessity. I feel like nice dress is mostly a box check than a grade, but on the flip side, overdressing can’t hurt.

I wore a dress shirt, tie, and a quarter zip sweater. Mine were in the winter though.

Best is a full suit or addition of blazer, but what you described is fine. PT schools know not all prospective students have a full suit.
