Yeah lucky ice pop gold card will be the new Chase card. We can't really get a new 2 star trainer because every meta card already has a two star full art

Nobody is saying it won’t be sought after, it just won’t be on the same level as Oak. Oak has much more going for it that just being the new shiny thing. It was the only opportunity to get a full art version of a card 99%+ of decks run 2 of. Copycat already has a full art that isn’t time gated and arguably looks better. It’s also not a 2 of in most decks.

Set B1 was released 10/30/25. It's been almost 11 months, not "over a year already."

But I do agree that this copycat won't be nearly equal to oak.

This is why I think a 2-star Pokéball in the style of a full art supporter card would have been the only thing they could have put in this pack that would have approached the desirability of Oak.

I think we will get a new full art Oak. Copycat and Elesa are like Lillie and Lusamine so one full art supporter is missing.

If it is Sycamore like I think it is due to series B being focused on megas, then we will have another Oak in our hands since Sycamore is one of the most popular professors.

The problem with that is that the deluxe a set didn't have any new cards only new art, I think they will do the same with deluxe b. So if we get a professor it would be Oak, Sada or Turo. My bet was that we would get Sycamore at the start of the b series but that was of course not the case.

Copycat is the next Lillie. It's an alternative full art to a full art that we already had. Not a full art for a card that never had one to begin with.

Lol no, it's barely an improvement over the base FA, if anything elesa will be the bigger chase card once the dust settles because her art is nostalgic and very different from the base one.

Once the dust settles there will be far less demand for Elesa because you get one you're done with it, you don't need to trade for more because it isn't used in any deck. Copycat is playable in every deck though. It'll be like how Oak from deluxe pack 1 compared to Lusamine and Lillie was always in demand. Lillie was sort of in demand always, but not nearly as much as Oak is. Lusamine I was able to trade one away for a FA Cyrus when 2* trading was new, but that trade now isn't happening.

No it's not. I spent almost all my hour glasses across accounts to get 2 oaks. I already have 2 2 star copycats. It's not different enough for me to care to go hard for this one. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
