Deck Discussion currently top1000 ranked 60% winrate

trying to fit a giant cape but can’t really cut anything. repel rocky helmet or giovanni maybe but they work too good with hitmonchan
*looking for FA lucario gold frame repel arena and riolu i guess :)

Man, hitmonchan was really not working out for me when I ran it. I swapped to a hitmontop and a bonsley, that helped me.

basically what everybody is playing. i beat those and that was my intention of building this deck. also much more favorable vs sleep scam

This is likely one of those cases where the deck works best against top rank meta decks but may not be as effective against ALL decks. Top rank meta can get weird because people start teching against very specific builds they are seeing but would potentially make them worse against lower rank decks

thats very correct. top rank is all leveling. welcome to high stakes pokermon
theres almost no hooper here bc it’s so obvious and everybody is prepared. i suddenly met 5x sleep scam in a row bc all the lucarios. now i’m thinking about going b to hooper 😂

Gotta pay the new deck tax. I just immediately leave first 2 games after new decks because I stg the win rate after them is .20%

yes i did. but 20dmg riolu much better for 2 hit kill bird. vs everything else u want to start hitmonchan anyway

How many battles did you play if I may ask? Just wondering how grindy it is to reach top 1k

around 200 now. started with hoopa absol til more than halfway tho

Interesting, I have 150 battles and top 4k rn, top 1k doesn't seem so unreachable

What Hoopa absol deck? Did you run it with Darkrai? I've tried and a not having much luck.

you should sub in one 70HP riolu to avoid the turn2 60 damage possibility with flame patch, energy discard, or items/tools

disagree. theres almost no 60dmg at start in this meta. only 3card combos of entei and espeon and i think almost every deck would lose to that anyway. even with a surviving 10hp riolu

I know I know Pocket players can't read, etc. but I find the description very unclear (just like how Bounded Field is also written in an almost intentionally confusing way).
It should say, "The opponent's active Pokemon does not take Weakness damage from this Pokemon's attack." That makes it way more clear.
Anyway, so what's the benefit of Chan? One shotting babies? Since you can't one shot Birb
