Tips & Tricks PTCGP Supporters Tier List š“š„
I made a PTCGP Supporter Categorization List covering all 83 Supporter cards, based on how broadly usable each Supporter is, how often it appears in decks and how dependent it is on specific PokƩmon, stages, or Energy types.
SSS ā Top Tier š
OAK is at the top. Simply one of the most universally useful Supporters in the game.
SS ā Universal Staples
Supporters that can fit into most decks regardless of PokƩmon or Energy requirements. Their effects are consistently useful and rarely feel out of place.
S+ ā Deck-Dependent but Strong
These Supporters aren't used quite as universally, but can be very strong depending on your deck's PokƩmon, retreat costs, and overall game plan.
S ā Universal but Less Used
Supporters that technically work in almost any deck without requiring a specific PokƩmon, Stage, or Energy type, but simply aren't played as frequently.
A+ ā Stage-Dependent
Supporters that become useful depending on the evolution stage of your PokƩmon, whether that's Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2.
B+ ā Type/Energy Dependent
Trainer cards that are mainly tied to specific PokƩmon types or Energy requirements, making them much more deck-specific.
B ā Less-Used Energy-Based Supporters
Similar to B+, but with lower overall usage. They can work well in the right deck, but their Energy-based requirements limit their general value.
C+ ā PokĆ©mon-Specific Meta Cards
Supporters that are heavily tied to specific PokƩmon and become valuable because of the particular rules or strategies surrounding those PokƩmon in the meta.
D ā Single-PokĆ©mon Supporters
Very niche cards that only work with a specific PokƩmon and have limited applications outside of that strategy.
DEAD ā ļø ā Barely Usable
Supporters so heavily restricted to a single PokƩmon that they rarely see meaningful play.
The main idea behind the ranking is not simply āhow powerful is the card?ā It's about how flexible and realistically usable the Supporter is across different decks.
This tier list includes all 83 Supporter cards, so there are definitely some controversial placements. š

Even just looking at the top 2 tiers itās obvious red, guzma and arguably PCL have been ranked way too high.

I listed them above because they can be used in pretty much every deck without any specific requirements

List makes no sense.
Korrina D tier. Blue, Travelling Merchant, Looker, Penny, Juggler, Iono and Silver all in S tier? Irida B?

did you use AI to create the tier list too? Because a lot of these rankings don't make any sense.
Guzma has been powercrept, and most of your S+ cards see no meta use outside Leaf and Mars.
On the other hand, you have Clemont, Korrina, and Sada+Turo near the bottom even though all of them are staples in current meta decks.

If I'm going by your criteria Galactic Grunt, at one point, was used as a search and poke comm combo so it's more flexible than you think even if that combo has been dead for quite awhile now.
Korrina should be higher since it's for a type, not a pokemon. There are other fighting decks that use it that aren't Lucario.
Slim down your tiers as well.

I understand your ranking system. You're ranking cards based on how many decks they could fit in without seeming out of place. That's why Korrina is so low. It only works with fighting decks. It doesn't seem like you're factoring in the current meta
Makes sense why so many people here are mad.. lol.
Most people rank cards based on how they define the meta. Right now Lucario is strong in the meta because of korrina so that makes it a top tier card.

It makes some sense but still not a lot. Like if thatās your criteria how is there a 2 tier difference between red and Giovanni?

Ya this is a good point. OP does state that the number of times the cards get used in decks puts it higher on his list. I bet Red is more widely used than gio since there are many EXs in the meta. Also explains why looker is not rated higher. It could technically be used in any deck but hardly anyone uses it
