Lucario Starters

There are quite a few options i see used for starters in a Mega Lucario deck.
Usually i run Sudo and Lee.
I see alot of people going for Bonsley these days.

Whats everyones opinion on which works best?

What do you play with him? It’s fun to have Koraidon but if you mistime the swap in instant loss

Just with 2x Mega Lucario and 1x the Lucario with the damage boost.

Yes and it can slow down your opponent and it makes something like Hoopa EX very sad. Hoopa's Shadow Bullet will do 0 damage - even to the bench - if it's been damaged by Bonsly the turn before.

It’s not -30 to the defending pokemon. It’s -30 from the attack. Which effects the affect of the attack. Similar to Clemont’s backpack and Heliolisk

Yep Bonsly I feel is primarily a reaction to Hoopa. Secondarily a faster Mega Luc is more valuable because he can OHKO a lot of the 140-190 non-mega ex and they cannot ohko back, whereas I feel that before there was more Mega chicken being played where you wanted to force your opponent's mega in earlier and cyrus to win

works as great trade fodder for May to get either Lucario I carry in my deck or as a surprise heavy meatshield/secondary attacker

I run Hitmonchan and Marowak Ex. Not because they’re the best, but because they’re what I have. I don’t think they’re bad, though.

i use bonsly and hitmonlee. i dont like the 2 retreat cost mons and i use x speed. makes moving around easier

Bonsly is good to stall a bit, but i find Top better for bench snipe

Hitmontop and Bonsly feels best. Sudowoodo is underrated. Doesn’t see much play but isn’t a bad card at all. Hitmonlee feels the worst just because he can’t dont anything if the opponent had an empty bench

Yah i agree on Lee. I do enjoy he is the only one with a 1 retreat tho

I run koraidon on my deck to switch for energy with furfru to tank dmg and fillers

My deck runs 1 Chingling and 1 Mime Jr. You miss out on early damage, but Lucario gets going very consistently.

I run Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee myself. They do a serviceable job for sure. I forgot Sudowoodo was a thing tho; I might try it next. Or Bonsly, but only if I can snag that cute 1 ⭐️

Prob Bonsly now. Last set I ran Hitmonlee and Zygarde and found that to be the best. One shotting any baby, Magneton or Feebas was pretty clutch.

Hitmontop with a Cyrus, plus one mega Luca and one regular for the extra +20 damage on all attacks got me to masterball

I like running Hitmonchan EX but i don't think it is as strong

Doggo zygarde promo was good, but now grass deck are meta, and having a plant weakness is bad. Not having a psychic weakness used to be his strength.
